Splinterlands Art Contest Week 310: Blackmoor Wild Elf

This is my entry for the weekly Splinterlands contest found HERE

I don't think that elf look particularly wild so I thought I'd make her much more Savage Lands.



Created in Clip Studio Paint Pro on a Microsoft Surface Pro 7+. Here is the timelapse video:

And here is the step-by-step drawing process.

Step One: Rough draft. I use a 40 px pastel pencil to block out the rough shape

Step Two: Lineart. I used a thin G-pen and Black

Step Three: Hide the rough layer and lay down some rough and ugly color swaths

Step Four: Use Clip Studio's Colorize feature to spread all that ink around the page

Step Five: Clean up the colors in the figure and start painting in a rough background. Kind of impressionistic

Step Six: Add in some leopard spots. I downloaded a leopard spot brush in CSP. Reduced the opacity of the layer to 30% to make her clothes look faded

Step Seven: Sign it
