Splinterlands Art Contest Week 316: Emberguard

This is my entry for the weekly Splinterlands contest found HERE

Created in Clip Studio Paint Pro on a Microsoft Surface Pro 7+. Here is the timelapse video:

And here is the step-by-step drawing process.

Step One: Rough draft. I use a 40 px pastel pencil to block out the rough shape, then refine it a bit with a regular pencil tool

Step Two: Line art. I used the G Pen tool in black

Step Three: Hide the rough draft layer and create a flat layer of the entire figre

Step Four: Make a clipped color layer for everything that is not her skin

Step Five: Shading!

Step Six: Background. I just used a large water color brush to swab in the background

Step Seven: Add a new "add glow" layer to create some flames and some reflected light on the figure

Step Eight: Sign my intials at the bottom so that it is thoroughly "legit"

Step Nine: PROFIT!
