Drybone Hobgoblin
Drybone Hobgoblin is a Fire-element melee attacker monster with a mana cost of 4. It is a Common rarity card with two key abilities: Reach and Immunity. The Reach ability allows it to attack from the second position, which provides strategic advantages in battles.

Steps in the Process of Creating My Artwork: Drybone Hobgoblin
Here are the steps I followed to create my watercolor painting of Drybone Hobgoblin:

Initial Concept and Sketch

I started by studying the Drybone Hobgoblin card to understand its design and characteristics. Once I had a clear idea of how I wanted to reimagine it, I made a rough pencil sketch on paper. The focus was on capturing its fierce expression, dynamic pose, and key elements like the axe, skull decoration, and fur details.

Watercolor Base Layer

Next, I applied the first base layer of watercolor. I used vibrant green for the Hobgoblin's skin, fiery orange for the fur, and dark tones for the hair and background. This step helped me establish the color palette and overall mood of the artwork.

Adding Shadows and Highlights

To create depth and texture, I layered darker shades over the base colors, especially on the Hobgoblin’s muscles, fur, and weapon. I also used lighter tones to add highlights, making the figure appear more dynamic and three-dimensional.

Final Touches and Background

Finally, I worked on the background to create a smoky, battle-like atmosphere. I used a mix of earthy tones and brush strokes to achieve this effect. After ensuring all elements blended harmoniously, I let the painting dry completely.
