Personal Growth & Hive - PicnicTech 🧺🌱

Hive was present at the PicnicTech, held on Sunday 19 November in the Simon Bolivar Park, in the city of Bogota. The girls from the Aatma Tribe, Caro and Jeimmy invited me to participate as a Speaker of the Activity and explained me what they had in mind: an outdoor experience to share and tell anecdotes and experiences focused on the personal and professional sphere, technology and web3. The most important thing and the main objective of the activity: provide value and have a good time. When I received the invitation, several ideas came to my mind and I thought of different ways to direct my participation. It was not complicated, personal/professional development and Hive are intimately linked, I have lived it from my own experience and I have also seen the growth of a whole community.

The day of the picnic arrived and a radiant sun accompanied us. Between greetings and introductions I met new people and others I had already met at previous events. A little later we were all sitting on the grass, introducing ourselves and getting to know each other a little better. From the beginning the atmosphere felt intimate and close, all of us present had something in common and that was the desire to learn, to inspire and to form valuable connections.

Listening to the story of Santiago and his wife, Luisa, about how they built from scratch one of the most important events in Latin America about cryptos, blockchain and technology, the Cripto Latin Fest, was for me the first big gain of the day: Behind a successful result there is a lot of work, doubts, uncertainty... It was very interest to recognise, from the experiences of others, how all that can be overcome when we have a goal in mind. Thats admirable and inspiring.

The second great gain of the day came after my talk, when I realised how those present showed their interest in Hive. Our ecosystem is very broad and a talk is not enough to convey all the opportunities that exist in our Blockchain, but I found it very enriching to sow the seed of curiosity in each of those present and to see their excitement and receptivity. Telling my own experience of growth and how this story is just a small piece of the world of possibilities in Hive (for all interests, ages and abilities) was the purpose of my talk, and I think I accomplished it!

After a short round of questions, the conversation continued with food, fruit and drinks. The picnic experience was 100% enjoyable and only the rain meant that we had to move from one place to another. We talked for a while longer and exchanged numbers with some of those present to clarify more doubts about Hive and to support them in the process of entering our ecosystem. We handed out wristbands, stickers and gave directions to Hive's social networks.

This is just one of the results of the @hivecolombia Community that started a couple of months ago and shows how committed we are to promoting and spreading the benefits of belonging and participating in our hive. Hive dijo presente en el PicnicTech, realizado el domingo 19 de noviembre en el Parque Simón Bolívar, en la ciudad de Bogotá. Las chicas de la Tribu Aatma, Caro y Jeimmy me invitaron a participar como Speaker de la Actividad y me explicaron lo que tenían en mente: una experiencia al aire libre para compartir y contar anécdotas y vivencias enfocadas en el ámbito personal y profesional, tecnología y web3. Lo más importante y el objetivo principal de la actividad: aportar valor y pasar un rato agradable. Cuando recibí la invitación llegaron varias ideas a mi cabeza y pensé en diversos caminos hacia los cuales dirigir mi participación. No fue complicado, el desarrollo personal/profesional y Hive son dos aspectos íntimamente ligados, lo he vivido desde mi propia experiencia y también he visto el crecimiento de toda una comunidad.

Llegó el día del picnic y un sol radiante nos acompañó. Entre saludos y presentaciones conocí a nuevas personas y a otras ya las había visto en eventos anteriores. Un rato más tarde estaríamos todos sentados en la grama, presentándonos y dándonos a conocer un poco más. Desde el inicio el ambiente se sintió íntimo y cercano, todos los presentes teníamos algo en común y era el deseo por aprender, por inspirarnos y por formar conexiones valiosas.

Escuchar la historia de Santiago y su esposa, Luisa, sobre cómo construyeron desde cero uno de los eventos más importantes en Latinoamérica sobre criptos, blockchain y tecnología, el Cripto Latin Fest, fue para mí la primera gran ganancia del día: Detrás de un resultado exitoso hay mucho trabajo, dudas, incertidumbre... Reconocer, a partir de la experiencias de los demás, cómo todo eso se puede superar cuando tenemos un objetivo en mente, es admirable e inspirador.

La segunda gran ganancia del día la recibí luego de mi charla, cuando me di cuenta de cómo los allí presentes mostraron su interés por Hive. Es muy amplio nuestro ecosistema y con una charla no alcanzamos a transmitir todas las oportunidades existentes en nuestra cadena de Bloques, pero sembrar la semillita de la curiosidad en cada uno de los presentes y ver su emoción y receptividad me pareció muy enriquecedor. Contar mi propia experiencia de crecimiento y cómo esta historia es solo un pedacito del mundo de posibilidades en Hive (para todos los intereses, edades y habilidades) era el propósito de mi charla, y creo que lo cumplí!

Luego de una pequeña ronda de preguntas, continuó la conversación con comida, fruticas y bebida. La experiencia del picnic se vivió al 100% y solo la lluvia hizo que nos tuviésemos que trasladar de lugar. Conversamos un rato más e intercambiamos números con algunos de los presentes para aclarar más dudas sobre Hive y apoyarles en el proceso de entrar a nuestro ecosistema. Entregamos pulseras, stickers y dimos las indicaciones de las redes sociales de Hive.

Este es apenas uno de los frutos de la Comunidad de @hivecolombia que inició hace un par de meses atrás y que demuestra cuán comprometidos estamos con la promoción y difusión de los beneficios de pertenecer y participar en nuestra colmena.
