I Tried A Special Tumeric Cocoanuts Rice
Hello foodies hope you are doing well and that your day is going very well too.
I love trying something new so today I wanted to cook something very special and delicious.
Everyone in my home knows that I love cooking so so much, so they decided that I cook cocoanuts rice today for them.
So I did hesitate to do that because I love being in the kitchen a.d I also love sharing food too😂😂
So today I decided to add turmeric to my coconut rice and trust me it is delicious. Even though my siblings never wanted to add that to the food, but I was hard bent on adding it.
At first I was so scared that it will not turn out well, but to everyone amazement it is the most delicious food for the week.
First of I broke the cocoanuts so as to cut them into pieces and this coconut was gotten from our farm, and also this specie is a special one it's milk has a special taste and the chaff can be used for so many things like eating it with soup.
I then removed the cocoanuts from the shell and I made sure I washed them very clean to avoid any dirt or sand.
I pieced everything after washing them so that I would grind them for the milk production.
And this is my milk, I mad it ready to be filtered.
Then I washed my rice so that I could make sure there was no sand because I decided to use my unprocessed rice from the farm.
My milk looks so yummy.
Then my ingredients included;
Salt
Pepper
Crayfish
Dry fish
Onions
Tumeric
Ginger
Seasoning
Cocoanuts milk
PROCEDURE
After I extracted the cocoanuts milk, I washed the rice and put them in the pot.
After I put the rice on the fire, I added some of the ingredients at once and leaves it for fifteen minutes for it to steam.
Then I added my ginger and turmeric and then leave it for five minutes and then my coloured coconut rice was done.
I added one finger of paw-paw fruit for myself.
Trying out new recipes in the kitchen has been something I dread always cos I am skeptical about the outcome. Seeing this, I will definitely try something new.
