Life just goes on - Direction: TRAVEL CONTEST #223

Direction is always a subjective perception, don't you think?
Wherever you turn, it becomes a direction, your direction. In a sense, this can be perceived as the main meaning of life - where you turn, where you are heading to, where you direct your attention, where you go...
It does not matter what other people are doing and the general direction in which everyone has taken. It matters where You are going.
These thoughts come to mind when I see this subject in a photography contest - it's too personal for me and I can't pass it up.

So, directions are a subjective perception until the direction is not visibly and explicitly predetermined, mapped out.
There is enough deep meaning and food for thought in this too, but let's not think any more when it comes to photography. That's why I'm showing you this rare street photo, taken by me. It was done by accident, that is, not directed, but I still managed to capture the moment when someone walks against the background of an arrow painted on the asphalt. I have no idea who drew that arrow there or why someone decided that was the direction. There are no apparent reasons for this. But the important thing is that it is actually going in this direction... or maybe that things are going, life just goes on.
