Recuperando mi jardín | Ladies of Hive Community Contest #180

Hola chicas de esta hermosa comunicad, tenía tiempo sin compartir por aquí pero viendo algunos post en mi inicio me encontré con este concurso que a penas lo vi me pareció de aquellas casualidades que pasan en el día a día, pues desde hace poco más de dos meses me propuse la tarea de cuidar mejor el jardín de mi casa y colocar flores y plantas dentro de casa para portar mas color y mejorar la calidad del aire y el ambiente de casa.

Hello girls of this beautiful community, I had some time without sharing here but seeing some posts in my home I found this contest that as soon as I saw it I thought it was one of those coincidences that happen every day, because for a little over two months I set myself the task of taking better care of the garden of my house and place flowers and plants inside the house to bring more color and improve the quality of the air and the atmosphere of the house.

Y es que la pregunta viene como anillo al dedo: Recientemente he renovado un viejo interés por la jardinería como hobby, cultivando flores, frutas y verduras fuera de casa. Puede que no ahorre mucho de mis gastos en alimentación, pero esto es más por satisfacción personal, así como para volver a aprender viejas habilidades. ¿Tienes jardín? ¿O te gustaría tenerlo? ¿Qué te gustaría cultivar en tu pequeño paraíso?

And the question comes as a perfect fit: I’ve recently renewed an old interest in hobby gardening in growing flowers, fruit, and vegetables outside my home. I may not save much out of my food expenses, but this is more for personal satisfaction as well as relearning old skills. Do you have a garden? Or wish you had one? What would you like to grow in your own little paradise?

Es que es tanta la casualidad de este concurso con mi reciente fijación con las plantas que esta mañana tomé algunas fotos a mi rosa que tiene muchísimas flores, al punto que parece un ramo de novia y a un lirio que está próximo a florecer, lamentablemente la flor no saldrá sino hasta despues de la fecha tope del concurso, pero prometo enseñarles como fue la flor el año pasado.

It is so much the coincidence of this contest with my recent fixation with plants that this morning I took some pictures of my rose that has a lot of flowers, to the point that it looks like a bridal bouquet and a lily that is about to bloom, unfortunately the flower will not come out until after the deadline of the contest, but I promise to show you how the flower was last year.

Como les decía, me propuse ser un poco más disciplinada con las plantas en mi casa y comencé a regar las plantas todos los domingos. La verdad es que no le había dado mucha importancia al tema de regar las plantas porque al vivir en un país tropical en cualquier momento podría llover, pero honestamente el calor que hay en Venezuela desde finales del año 2023 tenía mis flores al borde de secarse.

As I was saying, I decided to be a little more disciplined with the plants in my house and I started to water the plants every Sunday. The truth is that I had not given much importance to watering the plants because living in a tropical country it could rain at any time, but honestly the heat in Venezuela since the end of the year 2023 had my flowers on the verge of drying out.

En casa tenemos un rosal, que después de poderlo siempre suele ponerse muy bonito y bastante floreado y de esta rosa hemos sembrado varias en el jardín con las ramas que quedan luego de poderla.

At home we have a rose bush, which after we can it always gets very beautiful and quite flowery and from this rose we have planted several in the garden with the branches that are left after we can it.

Otra de las cosas que hice fue comprar una nueva planta que en Venezuela hay quienes dicen que es la planta del dinero y otros que es la planta de la buena suerte, yo lo único que puedo asegurar es que en el vivero la vi y me encantó, así que decidí llevarla.

Another thing I did was to buy a new plant that in Venezuela some people say is the money plant and others say it is the plant of good luck, the only thing I can say for sure is that I saw it in the nursery and I loved it, so I decided to take it.

Por último, no puedo dejar de lado las suculentas que hoy adornan mi mesa de la sala de estar. Estas suculentas se desprendieron de una planta de suculentas más grande y decidir plantarlas y esperar a ver si echaban raíces, lo cual ocurrió afortunadamente.

Finally, I can't leave out the succulents that adorn my living room table today. These succulents came off a larger succulent plant and I decided to plant them and wait to see if they would take root, which they fortunately did.

Para mi los aprendizajes más importantes en el proceso han sido colocarles tierra nueva con cierta frecuencia y ser disciplinada con el agua que hay que colocarles sin excedernos para no dañarlas.

For me, the most important lessons learned in the process have been to put new soil on them with a certain frequency and to be disciplined with the amount of water to put on them without overdoing it so as not to damage them.
