My 2024 Travel Recap

My 2024 Travel Recap

2024 was for me a well travelled year I visited a lot of places , spend a lot of time at the mountain and met some amazing people.

I ventured from towering mountains to bustling cities and threw in some tranquil escapes along the way. It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows—sometimes the weather sucked.

Chasing Autumn

Let’s kick it off with Autumn Colors.

Forests dressed in shades of fire and gold? Yep, nature nailed it again. It was stunning, sure, but also a reminder that leaf piles are Instagram gold but not so great when they stick to your boots.

Urban Jungle
This year, cities were on the itinerary, and they didn’t disappoint—well, most of them.

Visiting Warsaw: Warsaw was a mixed bag. The Old Town? Gorgeous. The food? Hit or miss. But the city’s history? Absolutely worth digging into, even if I walked way more than I wanted.

Revisiting Bucharest: Back in Bucharest, and it’s still got that rugged charm. It’s not trying to win any beauty contests, but there’s something about its vibe that keeps pulling me back.

Greek Escapes

Greece was the golden child of 2024’s travels, delivering beauty, history, and a bit of chaos:

Santorini: Santorini is the Queen of islands. You know it’s going to be stunning, and it delivers every time. Crowded? Sure. Expensive? Absolutely. Worth it? Hell yeah.

Escaping the Heat Wave: Pro tip: when Greece turns into a giant oven, head to the mountains. Cooler air, fewer people, and no risk of melting into a puddle.

Visiting Byzantine Churches: Call me a history nerd, but walking into these centuries-old masterpieces felt like stepping into another dimension.

Mountain Madness

2024 was also the year I embraced heights. Who needs oxygen, right?

Reaching the Top: Climbing mountains is equal parts thrilling and exhausting. The views were killer (literally, my legs were dead), but the bragging rights? Totally worth it.

Spending the Night in a Tent at 2,550m: Sleeping at high altitudes sounded cool until I remembered tents don’t have heaters. Still, it was one of those experiences you hate at the time but can’t stop talking about later.

Modern Marvels: Because Why Not?

The Wonders of Dubai: Dubai is basically a theme park disguised as a city. It’s shiny, it’s over the top, and it knows it. Did I need to see the tallest building in the world? Maybe not. Did I enjoy it? Absolutely.

The Little Things
Not every trip was about ticking off major landmarks. Sometimes, it was just about enjoying the quiet moments, like a Colorful Sunday in a peaceful village. Simple joys, good food, and zero stress—sometimes, that’s all you need.

2024’s Travel Verdict
This year wasn’t perfect, but it was memorable. Sure, there were the occasional travel fails (like bad weather and worse Wi-Fi), but every destination had its moments.

Top Picks of 2024:

Santorini: Because, it’s Santorini.
Reaching the Top: Proof that pain and gain go hand in hand.
Dubai: Because sometimes, you just need to see how extra humanity can be
