Colombian Murals - Sunglass Corner in Santa Marta [CCC's Street Art Contest #222]
The image for my participation in this week's CCC Street Art Contest comes from the center of Santa Marta, where I have spent the last ten days. It is located on the corner of the calle 19, a narrow and quiet pedestrian street, and carrera 3, right on the side of the Parque de los Novios.
It is a stunning corner mural, best to be enjoyed from the opposite end, looking at both sides of the building, which is the location of the bar called BEMBE. Though we did not see the place from inside, the outside wall, featuring three happy faces, did leave a lasting impression. Interestingly, all three faces, which could be patrons of the bar, are wearing sunglasses: a mature gentleman on the right, a canine (probably a pug) on the left, and a young girl sipping on a cold drink in the center.
Since the location of this piece of street art is in Colombia, it would not be appropriate to include it in any of my mural related post collections. And since I only have found a couple of murals during my very brief stay in Colombia, they are not enough for a Colombian collection. So please enjoy this one, because coming back to it may require some scrolling...
