Espero que se encuentren de maravilla y que su día haya sido muy productivo, yo me encuentro excelente gracias a Dios, como cada semana me uno a este concurso el cual propone esta hermosa comunidad dedicada a mujeres fuertes, guerreras, amantes de la vida misma y con mucho que demostrar aquí en Hive, en esta ocasión estaré respondiendo la siguiente inquietud:

📍 Castillo San Carlos de Borromeo - Pampatar, Isla de Margarita!

Este Castillo fue construido en el siglo xvii para proteger al puerto de Pampatar del ataque de piratas y corsarios, junto con el Fortín de la Caranta ubicado al otro lado de la bahía, ambos tenían la finalidad de proteger Pampatar contra los ataques de piratas o corsarios en la época, este castillo ha sido reconstruido en su totalidad muchas veces, de hecho en 1662 fue destruido por piratas Holandeses y en 1677 (cuando aún no terminaban de reconstruirla nuevamente) recibieron el ataque de una escuadra francesa, el diseño del lugar fue hecho por el ingeniero militar Don Juan Betín quien tuvo en su momento el mérito de haber creado el fortín más importante y moderno de esa época para protegernos de los piratas, un dato curioso sobre un error del arquitecto es el foso que está justo después de entrar al castillo a través del puente levadizo, pues la idea de ese pozo era resguardar el fortín de posibles asaltos, pero esto nunca sucedió porque fue construido muy por encima del nivel del mar y nunca pudo ser llenado, este castillo está ubicado en la bahía de Pampatar - Isla de Margarita, si aún no han venido a conocerlo vale la pena visitarlo y vivir la experiencia de los antiguos militares.

📍 Por qué me gusta este sitio?

Primeramente, es un castillo, a quien no le gustan los castillos? Es impresionante a primera vista, recorrerlo es interesante, aún más escuchar su historia y saber todo lo que sucedió tiempos atrás, además es un sitio amplio con una vista espectacular del mar abierto, aunque este día estaba nublado (estas fotografías son de la última vez que lo visite) la vista es perfecta, además más abajo a la izquierda está la playa de Pampatar la cual es bastante concurrida, pues es una playa cristalina y serena, ideal para ir y pasar un buen rato con buena compañía, volviendo al castillo me gustaría visitarlo de nuevo, es un lugar impresionante y muy importante a lo largo de la historia de la Isla, nos protegió y ahora es un sitio donde podemos ir a disfrutar de lo hermoso que es el mar.

📍 San Carlos de Borromeo Castle - Pampatar, Margarita Island!

📍 Why do I like this place?

First of all, it is a castle, who doesn't like castles? It is impressive at first sight, touring it is interesting, even more to hear its history and know everything that happened in the past, it is also a large site with a spectacular view of the open sea, although this day was cloudy (these pictures are from the last time I visited it) the view is perfect, also further down to the left is the beach of Pampatar which is quite crowded, It is a crystalline and serene beach, ideal to go and have a good time with good company, returning to the castle I would like to visit it again, it is an impressive and very important place throughout the history of the Island, it protected us and now it is a place where we can go to enjoy the beauty of the sea.
