Selling on eBay

Last week I put a $25 gaming token from the now defunct Mirage Hotel & Casino up on eBay. I ended up bringing some home from Vegas with the intent to bring them back next visit and cash them in.

Well, that next visit has come and gone, and I still have these things.

At first I thought I had lost that money, then I checked eBay and 💥 they're collectors items now 😂🤑😎

As I write this there are 52 minutes left in the auction...

The current bid is $27, however there are 13 people watching this item, so I expect a bit of a frenzy in the last minute or so.

Also, eBay seller fees are around 12%-15%, so that $27 is actually about $23 net.

I'm going to go read for an hour and I'll be back to update the final sales price :D

The auction's over, and it sold for $27 🎉 The buyer paid the shipping as well, and he's in California, so he paid a couple dollars taxes 📉

So, after ebay fees it looks like I lost a couple dollars on this token.

But, I'm not complaining. One thing I will do on the next one I put up is list it so the auction ends on Friday night, in the hopes that folks are feeling good with fat paychecks in hand, bidding on ebay items xD
