Happy New Year to Everyone, today is the first day of the year, and my first weekly battle mage challenge for the year. Many good battles were fought during the previous year , and many strategies were learned from this challenges. And for this new year let's continue doing it for the increasing community of Splinterlands. This challenges helps new comers to cope up with the fast changing meta of the game.

For this week is the Aimless ruleset, For me this rule is mostly a game of luck, since monsters hit targets randomly. Whoever hit the right target first wins the battle.

This ruleset ignores the camouflage ability since every shot will be at a random. This makes the field more balance since camou monsters are usually gifted with good skills.

Also we are given a 43 mana, gives us a decent amount to summon some mid mana monsters . But giving us a high mana to play with, they banned most element and left only Earth and Death Element.

Battle Highlights

We both went to pick the earth element, also we both have a monster that have the skill silence that reduces magic damage of each monster. now it's time to see who hits the right target first.

On the first round my Mycelia was eliminated first since 2 out of 3 hits were are directed to her, now my protection and triage heal is gone.

At the beginning of the second round ,Seedsmith got his revenge thru the elimination of the Mushroom Seer. Now my magic damage are back to its full, and with those elimination my Seedsmith is increasing his health because of scavenge.

On the third round I'm already outnumbered , the opponent was hitting the right targets . Also they have more health than me, I'll just let luck do his work.

On the goblin tower's turn, it made a clutch shot targeting the Slipspawn, and with explosion it was able to hit the low health Magi of Chaos, if it chose to hit the tank , the story would have been different. That shot change the whole set up.

Before the end the opponent made another play, eliminating my Slipspawn, now this is looking against me, but since this battle is an Aim True rule the favor was given to me since my turn is about to come, and this is the final stand.

In the final seconds, Goblin tower delivered the blow that left the opponent slipspawn just a single health , and Mycelic infantry gave the final blow leaving the opponent's Goblin Tower on the tank position giving him no chance to hit back.

THe battle end on a victory, but that was a good fight, given that I have higher level I almost lost if not because of the final blows that my monster delivered.

Tips and Suggestions

When facing a rules set like this I suggest you pick monsters with the protect and triage ability. Having this on your side helps you absorb more damage. And also incase the opponent have a possible chance to pick heavily armored monsters, monsters that have a heavy damage and Piercing Ability is a good choice. I'm not an expert so this are just some things to consider. May this help in your future battle.
