POBphotocontest : Narra the Philippine National Tree

Good day to everyone, I'm so happy that there are now lots of opportunities here on Hive. Lots of different contest are conducted in different communities. The proof of brain is one of them that I always see that my friends join in, So I decided to try it. I'm not new in photography contest but it's my first time joining a Proof of Brain.

I like this weeks theme because I always take a lot of pictures either I'm in for a walk or just driving around, and most of the time a tree is included in the frame. The tree I'm featuring in this contest is called Narra , it is the National Tree of the Philippines. This tree is a symbol of many things. It is tall and symbolizes the lofty ideals of the Filipino people. It is tall, strong, enduring and signify the persistence of the Filipinos in their demand for freedom.

I took this photo when me I my son visited my fathers house. It was already here when I was still little, so I can say it was older than me. It used to be surrounded with lots of mango trees, but now only the narra is standing. The mangoes were uprooted during one of the typhoons that came. This tree deserves to be called our National tree, because even after many typhoons it is still standing strong and tall .

This is his little brother that grew just above its spot, this I remember , that my older brother planted, it was so little back then. Now it gives us a shade that protect us during the hot days. It also cooler staying under them. Now that's one reason to protect this tree . Not only this tree but every tree should be protected, because we all know we have more benefits from them than they are to us.
