Autumn late afternoon walk in seaside town in Scotland ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

Hello Hello Hivians

Today we are going down to the town in Kirkcaldy in Scotland ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

Storm season to be here and I think Storm Debi is causing havoc. One blessing about gloomy pictures is that they can be quite dramatic!

image.png

These pictures today are all raw and unfiltered taken with Mrs T's Honor smartphone camera.

I had an ulterior motive getting her out on her day off, but more of that when we get there!

image.png

What you will see is just how dark it gets now early in the afternoon!

Do you see the blueish sky well that is the sky above the Old Kirk one of the old churches in Scotland. Oh Kirk I must remember that for my latest podcast (If anyone knows of word/culture differences between the UK and USA please drop them below as this podcast could do with some TLC... Transatlantic Accents: A Comedy Podcast

Sorry shameless plug here ๐Ÿคฃ for our latest episode ๐Ÿ‘‡ Possibly the funniest two minutes of podcasting you will hear, if you don't laugh I will be surprised!

image.png

So let's get moving.

image.png

First it was time to take a wander down The Wynd and I do love this street...

image.png

Just look at the beautiful architecture. History of buildings don't you just love it?

I know I do, so let's see a little more...

image.png

image.png

The ulterior motive

Yes it was time to do a sneaky wee mystery shop.

image.png

image.png

Do you like garden peas or baked beans with your fried haddock?

image.png

Old school me has the peas ....

And of course to wash everything down you need ... ๐Ÿป

image.png

Free food and drink ~ What's not to love!

image.png

Do you know what is on the wagons?

image.png

Kirkcaldy was famous for it.

image.png

And we left the pub ar 3.50pm, oops a squint photo seems the beers were working ๐Ÿ˜Ž

image.png

It was actually a Friday so they have a few stalls on the High Street.

image.png

I know these people from the small town Burntisland that we used to live in, they have a shop there.

image.png

I like that they have their dog stall opposite the pdsa charity shop.

Of course Mrs T was in there whilst I turned around and took a pic of the fishmongers, after all we had just eaten white fish for dinner!

image.png

That is another place that has a shop in Burntisland.

Mrs T meanwhile had given me that hooked finger look.... I knew what that meant!

image.png

Yes it was her favourite charity shop Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland
image.png

Let's go for a wander inside

I knew we would be a while, so I may as well browse too!

image.png

First thing I was transported back to Madrid, one of favourite top 3 cities in the world and of course home to my second football team Real Madrid!

But look what I found next!

image.png

image.png

If you know me then you will know I spent many years working in many different countries in Africa. The above was Nigeria.

But when I turned to Gabon

image.png

Eddie Wildlife jumped out of the page, in the form of elephants, oh boy oh boy time to write some more of Archie I think!

This next page got me thinking of the crafty pair @wongi and @amiegeoffrey

image.png

I remember one of my friends who ran a bar would carry three crates of beer on her head and then on top of the beer crates was a whole bundle of firewood. She almost carried the same height as she was tall!

I must admit some of the customs in Africa I loved and blew me away the first time I saw them!

Reminiscing time it was!

image.png

Time to move and look at what dusk brings

image.png

It is a tale of two churchs...

image.png

This one Mrs T said take the pic because the light was really cool, unfortunately it didn't come out that well!

image.png

Up the hill we went, and the light is dropping fast in front of our eyes ....

image.png

Woah watch out for the taxi!

image.png

image.png

I shall leave you with nature's beauty inher raw unfiltered format.

image.png

image.png

This post is of course for #wednesdaywalk which was started by the wonderful @tattoodjay.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day!

If only I was able to find a job in Europe back when I was still single, then I would likely also be wandering in that kind of street or view, or maybe I would be the one serving you that baked bean.

Ed! You spent years working in Africa?! Wowee. Learn something new everyday. Maybe that's why I resonate more with you than the average Scot: you're more open minded from so much exposure to others cultures. (?)

Yes West Africa, Central and Northern Africa and to be honest I have been in more African countries than most Africans,so yeah very open minded. I tan in a heartbeat so not like your average Scot in way more ways than one Cat.

What a beautiful town, I love the period architecture built on stones, I think these constructions are great.
You have walked through really beautiful places, dear friend @tengolotodo, and the dishes chosen look exquisite, and could not be so tasty, they are the company of a creveza
Thank you very much for sharing this Wednesday walking experience.
