That aroma always fills me with tranquility!

When we arrived, it didn't take long before the star of the house made her appearance: Skay, the spoiled little dog. Ah, Skay is quite a character. She has a mix of colors that makes her even more beautiful: black with white spots, and although she doesn't have a defined breed, her sweetness and energy are on another level. The dog came running towards us, wagging her tail as if she hadn't seen her friends in years. Without a doubt, she is the queen of the farm. Jealous of her home, she doesn't let anyone come close without her permission, and her protective attitude always inspires us and causes admiration.

Mientras mi suegro y el dueño de la casa se sumergían en una charla sobre trabajo, yo aproveché la oportunidad para dedicarle mi atención a Skay. Me agaché y empecé a acariciarle la cabeza. La perra cerró los ojos y se dejó llevar, disfrutando de cada caricia como si fuera un masaje de spa. Siempre he dicho que el amor de los animales es una de las cosas más puras que existen, y en ese momento, sentí que tenía el mejor compañero a mi lado.

While my father-in-law and the owner of the house immersed themselves in a chat about work, I took the opportunity to dedicate my attention to Skay. I crouched down and started to pet her head. The dog closed her eyes and let herself go, enjoying each stroke as if it were a spa massage. I have always said that the love of animals is one of the purest things that exist, and in that moment, I felt I had the best companion by my side.

As the hours passed, we decided to brighten up the day with a little walk around the area. Skay, full of energy, became our guide. She ran from side to side, happy to show us her kingdom. From time to time, she would stop to look back, making sure the pack was following her. It was as if she was saying, "Come on, friends! This is the best of life!" And honestly, she was absolutely right.

Luego, nos sentamos en unos asientos de madera, disfrutando del paisaje y del agradable clima. Algunas anécdotas fueron apareciendo en la conversación mientras Skay se tiraba a nuestros pies, pidiéndonos que la acariciáramos una vez más. Then, we sat on some wooden seats, enjoying the scenery and the pleasant weather. Some anecdotes emerged in the conversation while Skay lay at our feet, begging us to pet her once more. That’s how we spent a while in the morning, with something as simple and necessary as nature.
