Ask Anime Week #7: What Was Something an Anime Character Said That Changed Your View About Life?
We're going to make this a weekly mini-contest where we ask something related to Anime. Read the rules carefully.
Ask Anime Question of the Week:
Rules:
- Comment your answer to the weekly question to this post as an entry.
- Must be in English but you can attach a section for a different language too as long as there is an English section that conveys the same thought.
- No need to make a post about the contest or use a specific tag for your post. You can still post about this but it serves no purpose in picking a winner.
- Tag someone who you think might be interested in joining (optional) but if that person participates in the event, there's a bonus reward IF either of you wins. In cases where multiple users tag the same person, we'll count only the user that mentioned that person first as evidenced by the time stamp on the blockchain.
- Comments must be below 4 sentences for the actual entry. There's no need to comment 4 sentences for an entry, it's just a max number to avoid the entries becoming long form posts. If you have conversations in the comment section, make sure it's done on a separate comment/reply section.
- Response must not be AI generated. While this can sometimes be a challenge to detect and prove, it's not worth trying because you're being asked to share in your own words.
- Only 1 winner will be picked. Criteria for judging will not be disclosed but the closest hint available is: put some thought into your answer within the limited number of sentences available.
Notes: Think less of this as a contest and more of an avenue to share your thoughts and get more exposure within the community. We'll adapt the mechanics of the contest depending on the outcome of the previous contests so expect rules can change in the future.
Prize: The winner will receive 2 Hive.
If you won and tagged another user that participated in the mini-contest, you get 3 Hive and the other person you tagged gets 1 Hive.
If the person you tagged won, they get 3 Hive and you get 1 Hive for tagging them along.

I have always been inspired by Ashirogi Muto (Akito Takagi and Moritaka Mashiro) of BAKUMAN. However, what really stuck to me was what Takagi said (along the lines of):
It's still one of the motto I live by until now. :)
Flavours of Youth because this anime consists various stories on different takes but these 3 stories includes basic needs for our life. First thing is being Food, Second is being Clothing and 3rd one on Shelter. I have learned that time can make you heal also time can make you not have interest.
This line was from one of the first anime that I got addicted way back my highschool years; it's from Itachi Uchiha of Naruto. Honestly, he's not my favorite character in Naruto but somehow what he said got imprinted in mind:
With the recent happenings in my life now, this line became more impactful to me; losing faith is certainly much scarier than dying.
If my memory serves me right it has to be Edward Elric's (Fullmetal Alchemist) words which are "Can’t find a door? Make your own". His words didn't ring a bell when I first heard them and it was the second time that I accidentally watched a couple of years ago that it pierced through me. It made me realize that we shouldn't always rely on what comes our way instead we must create for us to achieve our goals or even surpass our goals.
As a good fan of romantic anime I remember that the phrase that most marked me in one of these anime was the one said by Shoko makinohara when she was cheering Sakuta in the anime of Seishun Buta Yarō, she said:
It is a very simple phrase but it makes you realize how one of the real goals in life is simply to improve yourself compared to your current self instead of competing or comparing yourself with others.
It has always been since I heard the award winning speech of Madara Uchiha.
This changed my view of the world so much.
It truly grew my brain up in a sense.
Although the speech is fiction, it talks true about real life events and happenings too.
An iconic speech, an iconic Villian, an evil war, but a righteous cause.
The word that actually changed my view of the world around me was what Gojo Satoru told Megumi when he was training him. He Said.
This quote reminds me that no matter how many people support me, ultimately, I face my challenges alone. It shows the importance of attaining success without sacrificing one's health or life. It has shifted my perspective, making me prioritize my health above all else, especially during times of stress and struggle.
oh, pretty new anime but that quote stands true til now
Yes sure. It melted my heart. I even screenshotted it. 😅😅😅
