Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 144, up close and personal
While visiting our old stomping ground about a week or so ago, I just happened to come across a bird that doesn't show itself around our home too often ever. What a treat it was to experience a swan close-up and personal. Upon loading the countless photos I had taken of this heavenly creature, onto my desktop, I realized that not only did I have some great photos for a #featheredfriends post, but I also had some vivid pics of #reflections of the #bird.
I posted my delightful experience with the swan here. Enjoy if you would like. The reflection photos found in this post were taken on that same charming day.
After being at least 200 yards away the swan decided to stop by to see why a human was standing in the cold gawking at him. It was either that or he saw me with my camera in hand and was looking forward to doing a photo shoot. It may have been cold out, but the sun was in the perfect position in the early morning sky for #reflections to appear.
In this pic, I played with some of the filters and thought this one was pretty cool. The filter I used was Dramatic Cool.
The swan stayed around long enough for me to snap off as many pictures as I desired.
Has anyone ever tried to take a picture while wearing gloves, impossible right? With my gloves doing nothing more than yelling at me to put them back on, and my hands approaching being frostbitten it was time to get back to the car and enjoy what had just occurred, out of nowhere.
Thanks, @nelinoeva, @melinda010100, and @barbara-orenya for always being at the top of your game, and a special thanks to @melinda010100 for your advice.

Your images show why swans are the most graceful of birds as they elegantly and effortlessly float across water.🦢
I think this one wanted to hear you sing "The Twelve Days of Christmas" to him/her! @thebigsweed 😅

It's funny you say they effortlessly float across the water, that was the first thing I noticed as he made his way towards me. Besides the wake the swan made as it approached there was no other indication of any movement.
If I had started singing a Christmas song the swan would have turned around after a few notes and the pictures I captured would have been impossible to get.😁
@ninahaskin sent you LUV 🙂 (1/3)

I think you captured its reflections perfectly.
Thank you, I was not too sure how they came out until I viewed them on the big screen, once I saw them I was very pleased with the reflections and the quality of the photos.
Thank you for stopping in!
You made brilliant shots of the swan, its reflection is awesome. 🙂
Thanks my friend, I was happy I stopped, and without the swan's cooperation I would have had nothing to show for standing on the bank of the pond freezing my a-- off.
LOL, I know what it is to be out in the freezing cold and having something so beautiful to capture. I couldn't resist. 😀
Those are nice pictures
Do you have an idea if swans can fly?
They sure can.

Your pictures never disappoint
They are really looking so awesome
All these reflections which are very wonderful and look very beautiful. Taking pictures of such things and thus all things are clearly visible is not easy at all.
Sometimes you get lucky and the conditions are just perfect to capture #reflections.
