Winterloom: My Entry for the Drawaday Christmas Character Design Contest
Hey drawaday community here is my original Christmas character I call, Winterloom, for the Drawaday Christmas Character design contest hosted by dinglehopper. Instead of the usual character I decided to create something about nature like a cloud or wind and even frost. Instead of a happy and giving Christmas character I went for something that turned cold and distant. It was quick to come up with a concept for this particular entry I just drew a shape that looks like a balloon gave it a face hands and limbs in a floating position then colored it with a winter shade of blue
Winterloom was once a peaceful spirit, creating beautiful blankets of snow to bring calm and cozy during the winter months. But after the villagers and nearby town people built a great fire to melt his snow, mocking his work for their own comfort, Winterloom was left frustrated and betrayed. Now, he stands as a guardian of winter, watching from afar keeping a safe distance and reminding us all to appreciate the true magic of the season.
His cold howling wind sweeping through the air is a reminder to honor the season’s peaceful beauty and the spirit of Christmas.
I’m so happy to share Winterloom’s story and design with you my friends. Let me know what you think, and be sure to check out the other amazing entries in the contest. If you are interested to join kindly read about the contest on this link

simple yet effective in conveying the message
that is the result of working on a deadline with little time in your hands I still am happy with the results
Wow very imaginative. Winterloom looks fluffy and cuddly
I agree although the idea is to make it look like a marshmallow it looked like a balloon in the end but I love it still
