I have stirred up some debate around the topic of self-voting. As a result, we now have @galenkp @emrebeyler and @azircon downvoting our Love the Clouds Contest for no apparent reason other than hate. Since I do not know how they will behave if you write them that you might not agree with this, tread carefully, but never feel intimidated.

How does the contest work?

 

Obviously the contest is all about Clouds: You can draw, take a picture or use any other kind of medium to portray clouds in any form or manner! I want to stress again that this contest is not strictly a photography contest! Artists of all paths are welcome 😊

There are of course some usual rules for participating:

  1. Upvote and reblog the contest OR Upvote and promote the contest with a link
  2. Make a comment with a link of your work below this post
  3. All of the submitted works must be original and made by you!
  4. Only 1 entry/post per person
  5. Post in the 'Love The Clouds Community' or use the #lovetheclouds and #pob tag

All entries must be submitted before this post closes

What's the prize pool and who will win?

 

  • There will be 3 finalists chosen by the community in an upcoming post entitled "Love The Clouds Finalists?", so be sure to vote if you are a community member!

  • Each finalist will receive their equal share of the HIVE and POB payout !

  • Additionally there will be four honorable mentions who will each get a 30% upvote

Stop mentioning me in your posts, everytime I get a notification I will visit the notification to come here and downvote.

You're even mass tagging people to spam, a reminder to those people, I have no beef with you but if you also spam my posts like the OP, you will be also downnvoted.

Look, it's one thing people donwvote my posts for now unwarranted reasons. But it's another thing to do that on a community post of which 100% is going back to the community. If you don't see the difference I can't help you.

Hello everyone in the LTC community! 🧡

It's unfortunate that things turned out how they are. If you want to know what happened, look at the post I linked to in the post and make yourself your own picture.

It seems, however, that for now 3 bullies have decided to downvote this contest and therefore the reward pool. For now, if you like you can continue posting pictures and it would certainly be nice to get a brake from all this noise 😊

For the future, I will have to think how we will go ahead and perhaps the contest will be made from another account so that we have a reward pool again. Love and Clouds for all! 🧡⛅

Good luck on this challenge. You stand alone against the bigs and are definitely outnumbered and outgunned at least 10HP to 1. But I cheer you on for not backing down and for all its worth, I see you are not oufought and intimitated. You did ask how I feel about self voting. I actually do not agree with it. I hate self voting. But I hate bullies even more.

I am not intimidated :) I will simply burn my posts and DV theirs. The real beauty, however, is that all of this doesn't really matter since the value of Hive is that posts cannot be censored only downvoted.

It's a shame that a corner of this network that attracts attention is being attacked like this. I don't think they're attacking the future of the network if they continue like this, and they should think carefully about how to act because these types of contests that create a community that creates content that is more attractive to potential new users or maintains existing ones are shooting themselves in the foot.

This network is just surviving, and if it wants to expand, it shouldn't be attacked like this. If you think something is wrong, you should be less radical and discuss it before sanctioning it so directly, because doing so could only lead to losing more and more communities, and some who want to create new content are discouraged when they see this. There's no need to think carefully before acting.
