The black and white landscape of Sosodikon Hill Kundasang
Greeting all,
How are you? I hope you have an awesome day today that is better than yesterday.
THE BLACK AND WHITE LANDSCAPE
One thing that I love about black and white is that it removes all the color distractions and makes the subject much more meaningful. Some say if you spin the color wheel, you can see the only color on it is white. In theory, it was adding every color on that wheel to become white. When we say white, it means pure light, while black is the absence of light. Of course, it will be affected by contrast, highlight, and shadow.
This is a photo of the Sosodikon Hill Kundasang landscape view from the watch point, which was about 20 minutes hiking from the entry point. It looked very beautiful with its green nature of trees and grass, while the sky and the mountain were blue.
But if you ask me, I love the black-and-white version of this landscape view. The layers between the sky, hill, and mountain looked great, plus the separation between shadows and highlights between both sides of the hill was magnificient. I was actually waiting for the lighting to land exactly like this to capture this moment.
Here was another part of the hill that was separate from the highlight and its shadow. Did you see what I meant in both of the photos? That is what we call painting with the light from the sun.
I hope you enjoy today's series. Thanks to @asean.hive, which initiated today's black-and-white contest. I hope everyone also enjoys it like I do. Thanks for stopping by. See you on another journey.

I like the comparison between color and black and white. Both images are captivating, but most of all my eyes are drawn to different locations in each shot. The color image makes me gaze far into the background at the distant peaks, but the black and white shot makes me focus more on what's in front of me.
