My Experiences in Hivecubacon and in this adventure of love and creation called Hive
A necessary introduction
When one checks one's identity card one has a date of birth. However, mine must be wrong because I have two birth dates: A biological one, which was when my mother brought me into the world on January 1, 1967, and July 1, 2022, which is my digital birth date because that is when I created my account in Hive.
Describing in one post what has been my journey through this space of love and creation would be pretentious, but, accepting the suggestion of two hivers that I admire, respect and love (@newnow497 and @viltredeltoro) I have decided to take some time out of my schedule of responsibilities and I will try to capture in this writing my experiences in this adventure to which I came through @theinfiltred, @nony and Leo another co-worker who is not in the ecosystem, but who still encouraged me to join it.
Before I continue, I want to dedicate this post to Eddy Campos Silveira or @theinfiltred who has been my mentor in this adventure and today October 10th is his birthday.
My birthday party at Hive
When I had my first birthday at Hive I looked for a way to celebrate it in the best way possible and do an activity that those of us who were in it would enjoy. As I work as director of Knowledge Management at the Institute of Geology and Paleontology of Cuba I decided to do a workshop about our year in Hive and the participants would be members of this ecosystem that we have managed to incorporate into the platform and other guests who came to our workshop.
I can tell you that it was a lovely experience in which the speakers were five members of Hive who had been in it for 1 year or more. I must say that @osismi, @zorili91, @nony and @theinfiltred were great and delighted us with their presentations. In the workshop we have two amazing people who are united in love and Hive. It must be that this honeycomb has a knack for enamoring or bonding affection between its bees. Both @newnow497 and @ylaffittep brought knowledge, anecdotes and experiences to the workshop which made it a feast of knowledge and creation.
The workshop began with a video that reflected our first year in the different activities carried out and in the teaching and learning processes, the different moments that we met to have knowledge meetings and expose doubts and results. It also reflected moments of our participations in events about Hive outside the institution and it was quite an emotional moment.
Then, this author, as host and to whom the event was dedicated, made his presentation on what Hive had represented and so did the other speakers.
During the break we enjoyed a snack prepared by the workshop attendees themselves.
After the presentations @newnow497 made a group of clarifications and explained different doubts that were exposed by the workshop attendees.
At the end of the workshop a group of colleagues were recognized for their contribution to the growth and creation in the ecosystem and in the Cuban Hive community.
Participating in the first national e-sports event
Another of the privileges that Hive gave me was to be a protagonist of the first national eSports event that was held in Cuba and in which Hivecuba was one of the sponsors of the event and I had the opportunity to attend the Sports City of Havana the capital of all Cubans and share with members of our community as the creator of Hivecuba @manuphotos and others like @theinfiltred and @crptogeek who do so much for our community.
It was a special moment, in which for the first time I saw several fellow Hivecuba members and I loved the number of young people that make up our swarm.
In addition to fraternizing we were able to explain the essential elements of the ecosystem, its general characteristics, its benefits and its great present and future importance.
Experiences at the second HiveCubaCon National Event
This has been one of the most attended Hive events I have participated in. It was an event that had hivers from all over the country and we had the privilege of having @manuelramos, leader of the SWC Community and an active member of the ecosystem living in Venezuela. His participation was vital and gave an international character to the event, besides explaining important elements about the emergence of Hive, current development and gave us another vision of what is happening with the ecosystem internationally.
In this event I was able to meet members of the most active community in the country and representing Pinar del Rio, the westernmost province of Cuba. There I met some of the most active members of Hivecuba such as @eduardo900613, @yanerkidiaz, @juliom and @yventura. It was exciting to be able to share with people that I admire and that in their publications show their sensitivity, human quality and transparency of soul.
In this event I shared with people who have helped me a lot without them knowing it because with their publications and teachings they have contributed to my conduction in some aspects of life. For this reason I went to meet @limonta, a university professor who stands out in his publications. @osismi, a co-worker and colleague of Hive introduced me to one of the people we have talked about the most in our journey through this adventure for the quality of what he does and for all his work.
I couldn't believe I could have @lileisabel so close, greet her, talk to her and take a picture for my photo collection. Likewise I was able to fraternize with outstanding people like @nanixxx, @noakmilo, @janetedita, @literal.
There was someone with whom I have had the honor to share in all these events because he is a being that in addition to what he does lives and breathes for Hive. @newnow497 is a tireless and supportive leader of this ecosystem and his influence and work are so great that he deserves all the recognition of those of us here with him.
I was happy to share with my co-worker @ram7 and a guy who was promoting his business and accepting payment for his products in the ecosystem currency. at that time he was not a member of our ecosystem, however, today he is and he was the one who insisted me to write my experiences.
This was an event that stood out for its organization, the quality of each of the presentations, the social commitment of its community and the level of fraternization and human quality.
Social Commitment of the Cuban Hive Community
Being in an event to support people with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) has been one of the most sensitive, beautiful and humane things I have been able to do. In this activity there were patients and community members fraternizing, learning about the community and listening to anecdotes and passages about the needs that these people go through and the different ways in which we can help from Hive to make this disease more visible and how to contribute to help its patients.
What has this experience of love and creation called Hive given me?
- Social commitment
- It has allowed me to meet people from many parts of the world and from my country.
- Knowledge because it has forced me to research and study about different topics.
- It has made me a better person by giving me different points of view about different problems.
- Human sensitivity.
- It has helped me economically to solve my situation.
A final comment
Being in this ecosystem has changed my life. At the end of my working life, finding this platform has been a balm for my soul and a way to face life from the creation of content. It only remains for me to thank you for allowing me to be with so many people with souls as sweet as the bees that inhabit our honeycomb.
Note: The photos are my own and taken with my Samsung J2 and I used the English translator DeepL Translate.
Thank you for taking me into account in your experiences living in Hive. It is great the experiences you have had in your growth process and that you have already been here for more than a year. As you describe, we are surrounded by very talented people, with a giant heart like Jorgito and all your co-workers with whom I share friendship ties. How nice of you to give us your elegant words once again. I love reading you. You are loved for free @tonyes.
Thank you brother for your words and, like me you will soon have a year because time goes fast. In your case you are a protagonist of Hive which is not very abundant at least in Cuba because you are a creator and you sell products that you commercialize in Hive. Thanks for the invitation. Happy journey. Cheers and greetings.
😆😊
Brother, may this opportunity also serve on behalf of myself and your close colleagues to thank you for your shared experiences and for your guidance and advice to the new and less experienced hivers in your close environment. Best regards
Thanks to you also for helping me. The good thing about this experience is that it has been a process of shared growth and mutual help. Happy JORDAGE. Cheers and best regards.
Feliz jornada. Salud y saludos.
Really a great experience, which has not only allowed us to increase our knowledge about the hive ecosystem, but also has given us the pleasure to meet many good people, thank you for allowing me to be part of your friends.
Many thanks to you brother for making me part of this swarm and allowing me to help others. Happy journey. Cheers and greetings.
Hello @tonyes, please don't use #hivebeecon and #hivefest tags for unrelated posts as it makes harder to find relevant content (and please remove them from this post).
Sorry @gtg, I didn't know about this rule.
A thousand pardons for my fault and as soon as I get home I want the tags to the post. It will not happen again.
Cheers and best regards
Hello.
