Damaged

Kiki is my little niece who had unbridled curiosity for anything and everything. She was just four years old but she had done enough damage to last one a lifetime. Most times she got on everybody’s nerves that getting her any kind of gift was a nightmare or would eventually turn into one because she would eventually rip everything apart, bit by bit, in a curiosity that was highly mischievous.

On her birthday, our neighbour who was not aware of how Kiki would never respect anything delicate, bought her a singing doll. We all knew what would become the fate of that beautiful, singing toy. Her mom tried to put it away but Kiki wailed like a wounded lion until she was given back her toy.

Two days later, Kiki had pried open the back of the toy, eager to ‘see’ the child singing inside, nuts, wires and hands and feet were all littered on the ground.

Just like as other times, Kiki lay on the floor, crying her eyes out and complaining of how ‘her beautiful toy had stopped singing’.

Thank you for the challenge.

Hahaha…. Kiki might have a knack for damaging toys, daddy and mommy must also have a knack for repairing….😄

The next present can be a bag with parts from broken toys. She might learn to build a great toy out of it.
