OPENING DAY: SRNHS INTRAMURALS DILAAB 2024🧡🎊
Good day, my fellow bloggers! It's me again, your tulip🌷. For today, I want to share with you my experience when we celebrated the opening of intramurals 2024. Have you already celebrated there too? Or are you guys still preparing for the upcoming intramurals in your school?
Intramurals are more than just a series of sports or activities; they're also a time for fun and reuniting the school spirit. Every year, many students who are active in sports eagerly participate to showcase their talents and skills while creating great memories. I've only seen and participated in the opening of the intramurals since I'm not really a sporty type of person. I'm more like a support system or a cheerleader who loves to encourage my friends.
Since our school quadrangle or school ground is under construction, the memo that was given to us was to celebrate it in the nearby complex in the place. The celebration will start at 3 o'clock in the afternoon so we can have enough time to prepare ourselves. Past 9 a.m., I noticed my classmates making an improvised tarpaulin for our grade 11 representative, which is basically our classmate, as a way of showing our support to them during the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals competition.
After settling it down, we were asked to separate the chairs and clear the center part because the other grade 11 sections will come to our room to practice our yell. So basically, each grade level was assigned to do a yell to be presented when the event started. We had a little issue creating our yell, but gladly it was settled down, and we continued our practice until we thought that it was already good.
During this time, the room was so hot since the electricity suddenly got low voltage, plus all the noise of the students was kind of making our room look like a market or something 🥲.
When I got so done with all of it, I decided to go to the next building where my friends and old classmates were hanging out for a moment. I even asked one of my friends to do my hair since I trust her expertise in doing hair styles. After she was done with mine, I went to the mirror with my other friend to look at it, and since I was loving it, I took some photos with @ksunnixx.
A moment after that, my other friends suddenly squeezed in and decided to use my phone to also take some photos as memories while teasing each other.
Just as me and my friends got the signal that the practice was already done, we immediately went back to our room to fix our things. I was immediately shocked to see another improvised tarpaulin made by our president 😭. I was amused by the way they support our representatives.
Meanwhile, after making flags and balloons, we gathered ourselves in front to take a photo with our props. We were wearing orange since our spirit of sports is orange phoenix, and from the name of it, it's obvious that the grade 11 students were tasked with wearing an orange-colored shirt to serve as a sign that they are currently in that grade level.
When the clock hit 2:40 p.m., students were already lined up to do the parade. My friends and I brought water and an umbrella to go against the extreme heat during the parade.
(A little glimpse of them during the parade)
The moment we arrived at the destined place, we immediately spotted our two representatives looking so gorgeous and handsome in their archery attire.
After settling ourselves inside the sports complex, I got shocked and observed the amount of students and teachers sitting and walking around.
Meanwhile, the representatives in each grade level entered together with their sports team. By the time that they entered one by one, it was also the time that the students from every level started shouting their yells. It was super loud and fun, especially when our grade level was called, and we started cheering very loud while shouting our own yell.
(From green to red, from grade 7 to grade 12.)
A short while after that, the dance troupe started doing their performance, followed by the DLBC band. To be honest, I was amazed by their performance, knowing how much effort, time, and patience they've put in or even sacrificed just to give us a better show.
Thenceforward, when the Mr. and Ms. Intramurals competition started, I was cheerfully shouting and cheering our classmate's name while they were walking and performing on stage. I was also stunned by the way the other grade level representatives did their part of the show; it looks like they are already used to joining a competition like this by the way they walked up like professionals.
After their introduction and stating their own hashtags and thoughts about it, the judges have finally voted and given the final results to the emcee.
AND GUESS WHAT??? WE WON! Our grade 11 representatives (our classmates) won the competition, earning the titles of Mr. Intramurals 2024 and Ms. Intramurals 2024! I was so proud of them the moment I heard that they won. Not gonna lie, I was not expecting that they would win since the grade 12 representatives were also good, but our classmates showed their true potential and beat them.
Moreover, the celebration of SRNHS INTRAMURALS DILAAB 2024 was filled with laughter, cheers, and applause that creates unforgettable and lasting memories. Indeed, our shouts and cheers were all worth it. This sense of togetherness reminds us that despite the excitement of winning, the true joy of celebrating the intramurals comes from our experiences and the connections we made along the way. I would forever cherish the moments and memories I've made from this tradition.

I see you also had a lot of fun during your intramurals. That's the time that everyone is busy too especially on the planning, prepping costumes, etc.
