My Entry for Reflection Hunters Contest: Round 175 - Peanut Lawn Reflections - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Big Island, Hawai'i - Sunday, July 7, 2024

Warm greetings fellow reflection hunters! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

This is my second entry since my return to participation in the Reflection Hunters Contest, and today I share with you a few photos that I just took out on the Peanut Lawn, with the assistance of my trusty portable mirror. Have I mentioned just how challenging it is to find good natural reflections in the jungle? Yeah, it's a thing. That's where my ever-so-useful portable mirror comes to the rescue!

These photos are of a tiny little bit of the Peanut Lawn, an open, lawn-like area in front of the Landing. It gets its name from the creeping peanut that dominates it (it really is a peanut, but it sadly doesn't produce seeds here). There is a particular rapidly-spreading, creeping daisy with yellow flowers, which complement the yellow flowers of the creeping peanut, that is also very common on the Peanut Lawn. In these photos you see flowers of both of these species, and their reflections in my portable mirror, from different angles and proximity. I hope that you enjoy this lovely miniature scene as much as I did when I first saw it! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
