LIFE; A Mirage without my Mother.

I feel really excited to be blogging again in the @ladiesofhive community. As much as I desired this, it wasn’t that easy to pull it all together. This past week has been challenging but I am eternally grateful to God and a few good friends. Again, what matter most is that I am here now doing what I love to do best.

Looking through each topics, I have seen one which captivates me so much and I couldn’t help but join the moving train. I have said it over-time that I am who I am first because of God and because of the woman whose womb was my first home and incubator.

Life would be a total mirage without my Mother and I am not mincing words. My mother stood her ground to ensure that all her daughters were educated no matter the cost. Due to this singular decision, my mother took up a job in a school and asked the authority to use her stipends as our fees. How we ate at home, still remains a wonder to us. During the weekend, she would hawk sachet water so we would eat.
When she couldn’t cope with all the challenges, she had to home-school us. I recall I first learned the word Gender from my mum. My mother is a force to reckon with. Very disciplined and always interested in every details of our life.
My mother taught us the way of the lord. She would introduce us to family fasting, engage us in bible reading routine and would ask us to preach during devotions. Today I have proven that training a child in the way of the lord can never be a wasted investment. I find it very difficult to club or indulge in other social vice that are unethical and when I look back I can only trace it to the woman whose breast was my first meal.

I recall profoundly eight years ago when I got pregnant out of wedlock, my Mother was so broken beyond words but then I see her put the fear, shame and ridicule behind her and still prayed for me and my unborn child. She respected my decision to keep the pregnancy, she was there with me at the hospital until I gave birth. She nursed my son and encouraged me to go back to school. Today, I am proud to say that I am back to school and my mother has never been tired of looking after her Grand-son. I sincerely don’t know how she wears this cap effortlessly but I know that she is a gem and a proof that a mothers are gold.

I have learnt to be hardworking and resilient from my mother. She made me understand that there are hidden strength the lies in the bossom of every woman, this strength can only be discovered by the woman herself.

Having my mother in my life has so shaped my life and today I can comfortably walk with my head high because she has been the compass through which God used to arrange and direct my every step.

I am so bold to say that my mother is my backbone and a firm foundation.
I could go on and on but I'm tearing up already 😭

My greatest prayer and expectations is that God will uphold her so she can eat the fruits of her labour.

My mother is my world..

This is me holding my tears😭 , God bless your mother and every mother out there. My mom is one woman I pray and hope to become, because she's a mother 🙏 indeed.

Oh yes @imasolo
My mother is an angel in human form.
I've learnt to be a great mom too to my son despite the fact that motherhood is a full time ministry on it own.
Mothers are Jewels.

The suffering and struggles of our mothers shall never be in vain, but shall live in good health to eat the fruit of their labour.

God bless every mother out there.
