¡Hola, damas de hive! ¡Espero que estén disfrutando de junio con mucha energía! 🌄

En esta ocasión elijo el primer tema para participar y por aquí te lo dejaré.

1️⃣ Tenemos mujeres en la comunidad de ambos hemisferios, el clima puede ser muy variado. Queremos conocer tus consejos o acciones que tomas para soportar temperaturas extremas tanto de frío como de calor. ¿Tienes algún truco original?

El sol parece tener mucho interés en la tierra donde nací, tierra donde nació mi madre, mi abuela y bisabuela. Tres generaciones que han visto la bonanza de la lluvia sobre cada pedacito de terreno, pero también hemos visto el sol que sin piedad, deja el río seco por varias semanas.

En Venezuela el sol tiene varios temperamentos, en algunos Estados como Mérida, que su clima por lo general es frío, el calor pasa desapercibido, pero aun así, el sol quema los cacheticos de los niños andinos.

Otro Estado del que puedo hablar es Trujillo que tiene municipios que por su altura sobre el nivel del mar, son casi como una mini Mérida y también en ese mismo Estado está la parroquia Pampán del municipio de Pampán, que es caluroso porque se encuentra mucho más bajo que otros municipios y está encerrado entre las montañas lo que hace que siempre se sienta como si estuvieras dentro de una olla de presión 😐

Hay Estados donde el clima llega incluso a los 42 °C todo el año 😰, pero tengo amigos que siempre y sin piedad alguna dicen que mi tierra Llanera Portuguesa, es mucho más caliente que otro lugar 😅 también dicen que somos de color naranja ¡jeje!, pues aunque el sol siempre está fuerte me he dado cuenta de que no es muy común la costumbre de usar sombrilla y eso hace que todas las personas tengan un color de piel bronceado (o naranja como dicen por ahí).

Hay maneras de sobrellevar la temperatura. Dios no hizo esa tierra fértil solo porque sí, en cada casa, en cada esquina, tú puedes ver una mata de mango, al lado una de manga, y después le sigue una de limón... Cuando el calor ataca, el primer método es tomarse una jarra de jugo de mango, superfría, mangos dulces y suculentos que te ayudan a distraerte de los días amargos.

Ya por la tarde cuando las casas se liberan del calor acumulado, tú solo te sientas a refrescarte o "fresquiar" como decía mi abuela porque a las 6:00 pm cuando llega el sol de los venados, todo ese calor que hubo se transforma en un viento imponente 🌬️ conocido como ventarrón, ese dichoso ventarrón me ha dado varios empujones.

Otra solución para cuando el calor nos acompaña y la brisa se ha ido a otros lares, es irse a la quebrada de Araure a echarnos un baño toda la tarde. También se puede ir al río, pero hay que tener carro, ya que hacia esa zona el transporte es muy pero muy escaso.

A mi familia le gusta mucho ir a la quebrada de Araure, ya sea para apaciguar el calor o no.

Ahora te contaré sobre un método que he practicado por inercia: yo me mojaba las orejas con agua fría 😅 ¡así como lo lees! Esto quita el calor o a mí me lo quitaba, luego me tope con un libro en el que hablaban sobre las costumbres cotidianas de los Ananda Marga y decía algo como que puedes refrescarte más rápido si mojas tus orejas y nuca 🤔 bueno no estoy haciendo la cita correctamente pero más o menos trata de eso, me pareció muy curioso, pense que inventaba la solución para el calor y resulta que otros ya se habían adelantado, ¿será cuestión de evolución? Parece muy simple y también es muy eficaz. ¡Hagan la prueba!

También existe la opción de bañarse en la regadera tantas veces como sea necesario, pero no es una solución muy original o sabrosa como hacerse unos helados de mango 🥭 además de que el consumo inconciente de agua tiene consecuencias.

Y sí, es verdad que hay solo dos estaciones en Portuguesa, invierno/verano por lo que se pensaría que hay una gran lista de cosas para evitar el calor, pero lo cierto es que los portugueseños somos tranquilos y convivimos con el sol 😎 nos quejamos de vez en cuando y después nos olvidamos de eso cuando llegan las lluvias, porque sea cual sea el clima que arrope esa tierra, a mí me gusta ir a reencontrarme con mi familia y hacer jalea de mango 🥭

The sun seems to be very interested in the land where I was born, the land where my mother, grandmother and great-grandmother were born. Three generations that have seen the bonanza of rain on every bit of land, but we have also seen the sun that mercilessly leaves the river dry for several weeks.

In Venezuela the sun has different temperaments, in some states like Mérida, whose climate is generally cold, the heat goes unnoticed, but even so, the sun burns the Andean children's cheeks.

Another State I can talk about is Trujillo which has municipalities that due to its height above sea level, are almost like a mini Mérida and also in that same State is the Pampan parish of the municipality of Pampan, which is hot because it is much lower than other municipalities and is enclosed between the mountains which makes you always feel like you are inside a pressure cooker 😐.

When the heat attacks, the first method is to drink a pitcher of mango juice, super cold, sweet and succulent mangoes that help distract you from the bitter days.

In the afternoon when the houses are free of the accumulated heat, you just sit down to cool off or "fresquiar" as my grandmother used to say because at 6:00 pm when the deer sun arrives, all that heat that there was is transformed into an imposing wind 🌬️ known as ventarrón, that blissful ventarrón has given me several pushes.

Another solution for when the heat accompanies us and the breeze has gone elsewhere, is to go to the Araure creek to take a bath all afternoon. You can also go to the river, but you must have a car, since transportation to that area is very, very scarce.

My family likes to go to the Araure creek, whether it's to cool off or not.

Now I will tell you about a method that I have practiced by inertia: I used to wet my ears with cold water 😅 just as you read it! And yes, it is true that there are only two seasons in Portuguesa, winter/summer so you would think that there is a big list of things to avoid the heat, but the truth is that Portuguese people are quiet and live with the sun 😎 we complain from time to time and then we forget about it when the rains come, because whatever the weather is in that land, I like to go to meet my family and make mango jelly🥭.
