HOW TO MAKE THIS RED SKIRT

Good evening everyone I'm so happy to be here today on needleworkmonday,hope our weekend was nice and fruitful,cause mine was😋
So not to waste our time let's dive into what we have for today, so today I want us to talk about how I made the skirt okay and the story behind the skirts. so first of all let me go with the story behind the skirt then I'll go straight to her we made a skirt so a client of mine wanted this skirt and so many other dresses. but then she was kind of you know me in person I don't know if I could make this skirt,gets it to come out the way she wanted it but was very happy the outcome was mad cause,
And I'm so happy I was able to challenge myself and try the skirt and get the skirts this is like, it's an achievement for me so when we started the process of making this skirt at first I blanked out, I was wondering how I will get this skirt to gather, how will I get it to look very full without putting a rope,how I would like get it to look so beautiful and fit in and still get it flows around it was mad
this was walking me out I checked on YouTube I saw some ideas and saw some stuff so I decided to use the YouTube videos I saw to compare it with my own ideas and guys but that was how I came up with this skirt making and I hope you enjoy the process as much as I did so let's dive into the process

PROCESS IN MAKING MY SKIRT
A. First of all I got my fabric so for these she wanted two colours she wanted red and coffee brown, so for this guy's I would advise because I used a stretchy fabric you can use a stretchy and non stretchy fabric guys that is the benefit of these skirt can use any fabric available at your reach right now and then come up with this and it will still look so beautiful guys so I used a stretchy fabric for mine
First get any fabric of your taste

B. So we have skirt measurements just need around waist measurements the round hip measurements and then the length of the skirt that's all we need to make a skirt so that was the measurements I will I needed so I got it for my client for this I was using waste 30 hip 44 and then I was going with a length of 25

C. Firstthingsfirst divide your waist by 4,your hip by 4 divide you don't divide your lengths
Fold our fabric by 2 and then take our full length measurements first draw a starting line after you starting line you go down by 8 inches then you go down with the full length

D. So we take our full length measurement which was 25, are you going to add extra 10 inches to the 25 making it 35 because guys will be using an elastic so you don't want to run shorts and then your length is not enough.

E. So another starting line that's where we going to place our around waist measurements divided by 4 so when you divide your round waist by for whatever you get you place it on your starting line vertically and then add then on the 8 inches that you came down from from your starting line that's where your hip measurement is going to come in ÷ 4 then whatever you get you going to place it vertically and so we going to add extra 10 inches after taking our round waist and hip measurements we are going to an extra 10 inches and this extra 10 inches we are adding, it's because of the flounce by the side the flounce that we get by the side so for that to pop up the Way it is popping up in this picture we need to add extra 10 inches.

F. Take your body measurements and sew,you are going to shape to your own desirable size,on and cut a band and put it your waist and then lock it up with a zip at the back that if you are using a non stretchy fabric but if your fabric is stretchy you may decide not to go with the zip I decided not to go with the zip for mine, so you create two lines after taking your body measurements and that is where you run your elastic and guys your skirt is ever ready to be one worn no stress of anything and it gives you a full fitting.

So guy's goes for both the slim and the fat and the chubby it makes you look beautiful and confident that one special thing about it,it gives you a fullness around your hip and make you look a bit heavy which most people like,I will recommend you one of this skirt today,
