MY MOTHER, MY ROLE MODEL // LOH 222

Hello, beautiful ladies of this community.
I'm here, again. Today, I'll be answering the LOH #222 question that reads;

Who, or what, inspires you?

It has always been one person.
From when I was still very young and up until today. Can you guess?
Ouch, i already gave that away by the title of this post. So you already know that it's MY MOTHER!

My mother is the strongest woman that I know. This is like a cliche statement, I know, too. It's just that from her I have learned a lot. I have learned the true meaning of family, commitment, and sacrifice. That I know what love is is because of my mother.

My mother is easily my go-to person. The one who listens to me without judgment, she prays, she counsels, corrects, and rebukes if the need be. She is a calm yet warm and accommodating person.

I grew up seeing her doing all the best that she could to hold the family together and to give us all the best of life that she is capable of. I do have a father who is an amazing man, by the way, but this is not about him. It's about my mother, my role model.

Sometime ago, I had been mad at her for being what I consider "far too nice" and "far too kind.""" And although I still get pissed off about it, whenever I recall my friend tell me that that's what makes her her, it calms me down. My mother is compassionate, and no matter how much I complain that it's too extra, she can't stop being that way. I realize that I would just be robbing her of what gives her completeness and joy if I try to come in the way. And it makes me so proud and so happy that she is who is - the imperfectly perfect woman who births me.

Growing up was much of ups and downs for my family. This year, we're having it good. The next, we're sinking and sinking and sinking. We were all that we had, just us -my parents and us their kids- and I can boldly say that the reason we did not drown, the reason we were able to stay afloat through all that highs and lows was cause of my ma.

And so i grew up wanting to be just as cheerful and warm and strong(im kinda reconsidering this one..lol) as her. I just wanted to be like her, the woman who loves so fiercely and who anyone would point to and say, she/her is good people.

So that's my reply to this week's topic. Until next time...BYE

When we are women, our role models are almost always our mothers, it is a blessing to be able to have them close and learn from them every day. Greetings and blessings my friend
