Holozing Background Contest Entry! ^^

Hello!

Here’s my entry for the contest! It’s alright if I’m too late I had fun painting it anyway!

Attached are the images with & without the character!

The character reminded me of my favorite Pokémon Piplup, a water type too! I can’t wait to join in the game (when my laptop is fixed or I get a new PC, if there’s anyway to play it from an ipad let me know! ^^ Thank you for your help!) and perhaps from it learn about the staking/business side of it, I don’t know much about it yet but it’s exciting to learn and I know the community is active & supportive so I know the learning will be great!

On to the painting itself, I did it in my usual painterly style. I feel a little down that my style is not suitable for the entry but I love the character concept so I decided to do it & have fun with it anyway! In the video attached you can see me painting!

It’s been raining a lot these past few days, I think it’s a reallllyyyy good way to welcome and spend the new years, I love the rain! And the sky has been so beautiful at sunset, I didn’t know if I’ve never noticed it or it was because of the rain, I found myself observing the colors like the old impressionist masters, seeing the pink & oranges from behind the big, darkening blue sky was so beautiful! Nothing could beat the greatest artist of all time, the almighty divine creator after all.

I could only imitate the colors and it inspired me to incorporate the orange & pink hues into the background! ^^

I hope you like my take on it, I decided to be a lot of freer with my paintings and added a cartoon-ish line art to tie the whole painting together! There are lots of wonderful entries, even if I’m too late to join, it was a great experience for me!
