Anime Tracks Thursday Contest
Imagine you're the DJ and I'm your audience.
I'm pretty sure you've heard a lot of anime songs or are you always skipping the OST? 😅 Hopefully, you still listen to the songs every now and then because they're gems!
For the theme:
It should be an anime song, of course. Old or new, anything is fine as long as it suits with the theme.
Have you watched an anime where the opening song feel so surprisingly unlike or indifferent from its show? Sample scenario is when the anime is all about fantasy but its opening song seems like you're going to be watching a romance genre.
This is not just limited to opening songs, ending songs are also okay.
It doesn't have to be the perfect match - you can explain in the comments what made you decide with the song and what's different about it.

I actually didn't watch the anime in full because I thought the comedy was too absurd.
However, if you look at several reviews, it seems that the anime tells about the daily lives of 3 school girls with a lot of comedy in it.
Same as "Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou" but girl version.

I'm halfway through the season, and it does actually kind of fit in well.

This song immediately came to mind when you asked about songs that totally doesn't matched with the anime's theme. Like everything was pretty tensed up with curse thingy that you've been watching, then suddenly the ending song starts playing, and yeah—I really admit that I did danced to its beat. This song basically made me experience lss years ago, and whenever I heard songs that had the same beat with it, I just unconsciously sang—lost in paradise, night and day are fading out~ —ahahaha those good old days...

Hehhehe exactly! It's really so different from the anime...Like the characters look really battered from fighting curses, then suddenly Yuji comes in dancing ahahhaha
hahahaha actually this ED is super cheerful and its rhythm becomes very catchy hahaha, although it is one of my favorites I have to admit that it could be very out of tone in some chapters hahaha, suddenly you felt like you were watching some school anime or SLice of Life.
Especially when you just watched the extremely brutal death of a certain character (not gonna mention him... ahuhuhu), then suddenly that upbeat tune comes in, then Yuji dances merrily... well, I guess the sarcasm is getting on the other level..

In Naruto Shippuden there are many songs that I feel that don't fit, but the one that comes to my mind right now is Jitensha by OreSkaBand, the worst thing is that this ending was broadcasted right in the arc of Pain's Assault, imagine watching an intense fight and then this, it's like ????

I like this song called Sakura by Yuumu Hamaguchi... However, I think the song is too romantic to be used even as an ending song for a sports anime like Prince of Tennis.
I understand Zutto Mae Kara by French Kiss for MAJOR even though it's a love song because this was the season when Goro Shigeno and Kaoru Shimizu got together... haha

I think there may be many songs of this style that clashes with the anime, but one that comes to mind is Life is Cider which is about the ED of Wonder Egg Priority, the OP is quite slow and kind of sad but then they come and place an ED so happy and with party or festival rhythms hahaha, all very shocking when you're watching such a sad anime that touches on issues such as child suicide by different types of abuse.
also happened to me with the OP of Gokushufudo, a music with a somewhat strong style and like Japanese Metal, only to see that the most epic battles and scenes are those of Tatsu fighting against a stain on the kitchen floor that does not want to leave hahaha.
Child abuse with that kind of melody?! One would think you’re watching a cute anime.

This is my new answer, the Anime is so different from this song it's unreal. I translated it roughly with google and yes it does kind of work, but the whole feel,tempo and voice just doesn't match the series at all.

Both songs are pretty amazing. The tempo just doesn't seem right though
I think "Lilium" Opening of "Elfen Lied". With its solemn tone it contrasts strongly with the graphic content and dark themes of the series.... This song conveys a certain peace, something contrary to the trauma and gore that anime can have.
The song actually gave some eerie vibes at first but in the middle one, it's a bit peaceful, so unlike its anime 😅
