Anime Tracks Thursday Contest
Imagine you're the DJ and I'm your audience.
I'm pretty sure you've heard a lot of anime songs or are you always skipping the OST? 😅 Hopefully, you still listen to the songs every now and then because they're gems!
For the theme:
It should be an anime song, of course. Old or new, anything is fine as long as it suits with the theme.
Any charts - billboard, spotify, youtube or whatever charts. If it became number one in your country's charts or in Japan's charts, let me know in the comments. It would also be good if you like the song.

only one song came to mind and it did topped the charts.
it was sung at a very important scene in kimetsu no yaeba,
it certainly brings tears just hearing this stripped down version.

Aside from Idol and Kickback which happened to have peaked in global and Japan music charts, these op songs also made it into the top of Japan charts and even Spotify most streamed Japanese tracks overseas. First, is Mixed Nuts, an opening song from Spy x Family which peaked at number one on the Japan Hot 100 [Source].
Next, is Kaikai Kitan, an opening song from Jujutsu Kaisen which ranked first in Spotify’s Top 10 of Japanese tracks streamed overseas in 2021 [Source].
The last one is part of my favorite op songs and it's from Boku no Hero Academia. Peace Sign's beat was really lively and somehow uplifting; that's why it was no wonder that it made to the number one of Japanese Billboard Music charts [Source].
Jujutsu Kaisen's OP was one of my favorites!
Yeah! The lyrics are really beautiful and deep... The beat is also catchy, so no wonder it's one of your favorites!
YOASOBI - Idol, need to say more? This song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global chart and stayed for a long time at No. 1 on the Billboard Japan chart, even now you can still see it on the Billboard Hot 100 in Japan at No. 18. This song was a phenomenon since its release and, of course, I love it.
Didn't know it's still in Billboard Japan til now! I wasn't checking Billboard 😅 but wow, so amazing!

Here's one of my all-time faves... and among the first Japanese songs I tried learning. I miss YUI. The song is called AGAIN which was used in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
