An extraordinary week! Mind-blowing 2,822,700 views have been generated by top 5 shares of the 10 contestants! I can add to this my deleted shares with a total of around 150K views - sure, there were many other deletions. It means we have significantly exceeded 3,000,000 views this week!

We had 10 shares with more than 50K this week! A lot, I'll focus on them in the next HivePosh Weekly, and here I'll mention only three, starting with the most epic:

I really love that gamification approach that is marketing (for Hive) and fun for all of us. Glad I remain in the top 10 at least. Great job @stekene - Belgians are the best.

maybe you get a lucky punch - i got some good view posts deleted, in one subredit even got a ban as I discussed with others about content - they did not like it - so as our queen @theworldaroundme already said - ignore comments better and do not get into arguments - they can kill you and some subreddits are pretty harsh there.

I have plagiarised on 2 posts last summer, shouldn't have done that, totally my bad. Greed took over in a darker period.
I wrote afterwards 45posts as an excuse with declined rewards, as a punishment of Hivewatchers. Apparantly MarkyMark put me on his downvote trail as well.
He just ignores any questions, so guess this account is lost in terms of posting...
I am reflecting if I should continue on Hive or just move on. So far I am just abandoning writing posts but still engage a bit

Sorry to hear this, @stekene. You must have really upset them. The best solution is not to give up, show that you've learned from your mistake. Sometimes it takes a while for people to see your genuine intentions; you have to prove it. If you love writing, don’t let anything discourage you. Also, be a team player, not just focused on what you can gain, but mindful of others as well. It may be a competition, but we still support each other. If you're willing to do that, then this is your place too, and you’ll do well. That’s how we do things here. 😊

Would be nice if you could also add Hive stats of these articles so we can check them and brainstorm how to Onboard the readers. Or find out why so many views bus so little engagement. Or why so many views and only 11 minutes reading time in total.

I can not promise anything as I am not a team member but can tell you from my ususal day job in software:

We deal with all known web2 platforms and any detail via API or such depends on how open they are, some limit a lot like LinkedIn - so there is not much you can do if they are not open for analytics. But Redit is the only one we do not work with directly in my company.

This is a good point, and as we discussed privately it's hard to know what goes on between reddit impressions and website views. You'd think there being hundreds of comments they would have at least read the post. Myself and @x-rain have quite strict rules on how shares are done to "force" redditors to check the full post out so sharers don't share most of the content on reddit and just add a link "just in case they wanna read more" to prevent people from just intaking the gist of the post there.

I am however also sure that impressions on reddit are similar to twitter, i.e. just scrolling past a subreddit or feed and seeing the post counts as an impression so we're not really considering that mainly when we reward the shares, but thousands of views is still way more than what most posts on hive do and they're getting 98%+ of the author rewards so I don't think we should be reserved about how much rewards we give to sharers who for once are bringing any traffic to the posts. I think we should encourage it more. As many wise stakeholders in the past have said, posts that don't bring any attention from the outside may very well be worth $0, yet we're overrewarding posts that don't even bring attention from the inside to them often.

Posting a catchy title along with just a link is currently the most effective way to attract Redditors to visit and read your article. Another interesting strategy could be to create a tutorial on 3Speak, then share only the link on Reddit to drive users to Hive. Using more frontends—like SkateHive—is also a great way to increase visibility.

I agree that Reddit is similar to Twitter in the sense that scrolling counts as a view, and what POSH has achieved on Reddit is impressive. POSH should be promoted more by community leaders, and it might be worth exploring reward systems for sharing, in collaboration with POSH.

I asked about the stats before too, but I also took a moment to question myself. Is this a good initiative? Absolutely. Is it helping me grow? Yes, it is. Is it helping the community and Hive as a whole? Definitely, and that’s all I needed to know.

I think the challenge to get along with Reddit folks is work enough and reduces your patience with certain folks - sometimes you become brain dead. However the views of people that actually VISIT and READ Hive content is brilliant, none of our marketing activies ever realized that yet - of course now it is time to onboard others - but sure based on more analytics we can do that - we never been closer to onboard folks from another platform with a huge user ammount and certain related interest. But it is only possible based on the API and will of any platform - with Reddit I have no expereince in that regard - if they act as the rest of web2 such as META, X, Lin kedIn, Google it will be difficult - but that is also our task to find ways.

If you think this is not good tell me what can be better - I am all ears, I did proposals for marketing / pr and talked so much waht I would do different. This one here is the first intiative that comes close to what we want to achieve.

No brand awareness (we have none and we compete with better known Hive brands) but traffic!

Next step wouöd be to get businesses on the chain that use our capabilities (not related to the social media / content part) - this i what we should aim for in my view (saying this n ow since 6 years before steemit became Hive)- but hat required lobbying at sometimes board level - difficut as we have not the face of Hive, no CEO but a lot of great commuity members like you.

One of our guys in Germany made it possible that we got listed on Bitpanda - one of the big Euro crypto exchange @hatoto was the hero. So it remains with all of us small fishes.
