CCC's Street Art Contest #174 - "Bom dia, Filomena", Lisbon, Portugal - by STOM 500
Good afternoon, friends!
Welcome to another post in the Street Art community!
Today I want to share a discovery I made only the other day... And you're wondering how it's possible that I haven't seen these artworks before, considering that they're so close to my house... Well, quite frankly, because they're in a location where I rarely drive by. That's why, and only when a few weeks ago I had to take transport to go for an MRI scan at a diagnostic center in the Oriente area of Lisbon, I passed by these magnificent works.

Today I want to share with you the color, brilliance and boundless imagination of this illustrator Muralist based in Strasbourg - STOM 500. Here is his biography and description on his official website.
"Cultivating a delirious and humorous universe nourished by the euphoric energy of cartoons, this self-taught virtuoso from a neighbouring village in the Swiss municipality of Basel is multiplying his talents. Trained as a graphic designer, professional illustrator and renowned graffiti artist for In the Over the past five years, Stom500 has been, as he defines himself with humour, a veritable "Swiss army knife". Spray, brushes, acrylic ... Large murals or small canvases: he uses a variety of mediums and styles with a predilection for animal themes which, under the varnish of pleasure, carry a relevant message, often humanistic or ecological. Like his swirling bees or his seemingly incompatible bestiaries, such as the raven and the fox inspired by La Fontaine's fables".

It's very unlikely that you've come across something so out of the box... his reality is in fact an excellent cross-section of the most fantastic fable, where animal characters jump into our reality, making the imagination and dreams of those who live in that area, let through frontiers and walls.
From the top of this 10-storey building, we are greeted by a very enthusiastic rooster, who with his shiny crest contemplates us with a recently opened tin of sardines, surrounded by his magical bees...
Here's a selfie, just so you can see how big this piece is!
