CCC's Street Art Contest #211 - Untitled, Théo Lopez, Quinta do Mocho, Portugal [En-Pt]

Good afternoon, friends!

Welcome to another post in the Street Art community!

Today I'd like to share another piece I found in the Mocho neighbourhood. It's very important for me to be able to share all these phenomenal pieces, not only for their beauty and the mastery of those who executed them, but also as an ode to the diversity of styles and branches present in so few blocks.

The artist I'm bringing you today has a markedly abstract approach, which means that his work, which is bursting with colour and movement, takes us through it like a kaleidoscope in the eyes of a child!

An artistic approach driven by a curiosity for his numerous trips to Russia, Israel and the USA, extends his vision beyond what he initially aspired to.

At the age of 34, he shares an original vision of the world in his eyes, and about his attentive eye for what is happening around him.

Today, Théo gravitates towards the abstract style.

He began by creating patterns in his work through the optical effects he used, taking the artist back to what is most essential in life and art - the essence of his line and, in a way, his personality.

Reflection and, on the other hand and in contrast, spontaneity are practically his two most essential artistic pillars.

Random curves, straight lines and geometric shapes are part of his elementary portfolio.

Far from a predefined pattern, he creates his paintings in the now and in the present.

His concept of painting is based on some forms of sculpture, casually seeking momentary and spontaneous inspiration.

The multiple layers mix, add up, leading to a palette of colours and lines that dialogue and interact, vibrating and echoing, over-elevating the dimension of the piece, which gains it by its composition.

I hope you enjoyed my sharing today for this week's StreetArt challenge!

Have a good week everyone!

“Color is a radiation and as all radiation it's in movement. My role as an artist is to transcribe these movements and give them substance.”
