Some time ago I froze in the fridge a few leaves of a large cabbage that I bought, I knew that I could then take advantage of them, because when the cabbage season ends it is very difficult to get it. A few days ago I saw that this week the Hive Top Chef contest of @qurator had as main ingredient, cabbage. I quickly remembered the leaves I had saved and it occurred to me that I could make this recipe and participate in the contest.

Hola querido amigo amante de las delicias culinarias, el día de hoy te traigo un nuevo video tutorial de una deliciosa receta, que particularmente me encanta porque amo los vegetales. Hace un tiempo congelé en la nevera unas cuantas hojas de una col grande que compré, sabía que luego las podía aprovechar, pues cuando acaba la temporada de coles es muy difícil conseguirla. Hace unos días vi que esta semana el concurso de Hive Top Chef de @qurator tenía como ingrediente principal, la col. Rápidamente recordé las hojas que tenía guardadas y se me ocurrió que podía hacer esta receta y de paso participar en el concurso.

Espero te guste y te atrevas a preparar estos deliciosos rollitos de col, rellenos con salchichas y papas hash browns. A continuación, te muestro los ingredientes y el proceso de elaboración, en el video están todos los pasos detallados para que no te pierdas ninguno. Disfrútalo.

  • Sausages / Salchichas
  • Cabbage leaves / Hojas de repollo
  • Potato hash browns / Papas hash browns
  • Onion and chili /Cebolla y ají
  • Chinese sauce / Salsa china
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste / 1 cucharada de pasta de tomate
  • Cumin powder / Comino en polvo
  • Oil / Aceite
  • 1 tablespoon salt / 1 cucharada de sal

The first thing to do is to wash the cabbage leaves very well, in my case I had already done it, remember that I had them frozen. Put a pot of salted water on the fire and boil the leaves, you must be careful not to soften them too much, because they can break.

Lo primero que debes hacer es lavar muy bien las hojas de col, en mi caso ya lo había hecho, recuerda que las tenía congeladas. Colocas una olla con agua con sal en el fuego y pones a hervir las hojas, debes tener cuidado que no se ablanden mucho, pues pueden romperse.

Chop the sausages, for this I used a grater that I recently acquired, I love it. The hash browns are also chopped in very small portions.

Picar las salchichas, para ello utilicé un rallador que recientemente adquirí, me encanta. Las papas hash browns también se pican en porciones bien pequeñas.

Chop all the spices, you can add as many as you prefer.

Picar todas las especies, puedes añadir todas las que prefieras.

With all the preparations ready, you can start cooking the stuffing. We will also add tomato paste to add a little color, salt, cumin and half a cup of water.

Con todas las elaboraciones preparadas, ya puedes comenzar a cocinar el relleno. Además le agregaremos pasta de tomate para añadirle un poco de color, sal, comino y media taza de agua.

Place the spices in the pan and sauté well, then add the sausages, potatoes and then the tomato paste, salt, cumin and water. Always stirring so that everything mixes well and does not stick to the bottom.

Colocas las especias en el sartén y se sofríen bien, luego se van incorporando las salchichas, las papas y seguidamente la pasta de tomate, sal, comino y el agua. Siempre revolviendo para que todo se mezcle muy bien y no se pegue en el fondo.

Let it cool a little bit and start stuffing. Open the cabbage leaf completely and place the filling in the center, then roll it up, closing the sides first.

Dejar enfriar un poquito y comienzas a rellenar. Se abre completamente la hoja de col y en el centro se coloca el relleno, luego se enrolla cerrando primero los laterales.
