The Proposal

At that moment, Margaret is presented with an unfortunate event in her work career, and that is that she is going to be deported to her native country, Canada, since her visa has expired. However, she comes up with the grandiose idea of declaring that she was engaged to her assistant Andrew, who over the years had not exactly treated her very well.

In this film, I love the chemistry between Ryan and Sandra, both of them gave us great performances, it couldn't be better. Ryan giving that touch of irony to his characters, that you end up liking. A charismatic and memorable film, the actors managed to complement each other perfectly. It is one of those movies that do not bore you, where you can see it a thousand times and a thousand times it will make you laugh.
Touching a little in depth the character of Andrew, we see that young boy who moves away from his family because he wants to fulfill his dreams, even having a future "secured" next to them, but he decides to forge his own path, which makes him very realistic. How many of us don't put aside our ideals because of the opinion of family members and don't dare, like him, to follow them. I feel that when you reflect each time on the personalities of the characters, you see them in a different way, because Andrew is an impulsive boy, but that is because he wants to show his father how wrong he was not to follow his dreams and Margaret, that coldness that she showed was because of her past and the fear of getting hurt if she got emotionally involved with someone.
Beyond being a funny movie, it makes you go into a lot of details that you may have overlooked. A film that I recommend to have a good time.

Comedia romántica estrenada para el año 2009, bajo la dirección de Anne Flecher. Una historia que inicia en la ciudad de Nueva York, enfocada en la vida de Margaret, (Sandra Bullock) una poderosa y muy buena editora, pero muy estricta en el mismo; y su asistente Andrew (Ryan Raynolds), quien busca convertirse en editor.
En eso, a Margaret se le presenta un desafortunado suceso en su carrera laboral y es que, la van a deportar a su país natal, Canadá, ya que su visa se venció. Sin embargo, se le ocurre la grandiosa idea de declarar que estaba comprometida con su asistente Andrew quien a lo largo de los años no lo había tratado precisamente muy bien.
Él, termina accediendo bajo ciertas condiciones (no se lo iba a dejar fácil). Para continuar con el falso compromiso, ella no le queda más remedio que ir a dónde la familia de Andrew, que viven en Alaska, comenzando su aventura como "pareja”, dónde, a pesar de tener personalidades opuestas, ese viaje les hará ver otras cosas que no habían considerado en sus vidas y aprender del otro, dándonos escenas muy divertidas e icónicas, pues a mí nunca se me olvida: "la pared, la pared, este baile me da sed..."😂
En este filme, amo la química entre Ryan y Sandra, ambos nos dieron interpretaciones bastantes buenas, no pudo ser mejor. Ryan dándoles ese toque de ironía a sus personajes, que de algún te termina gustando. Una película carismática y memorable, los actores lograron complementarse a la perfección. Es de esas películas que no te aburren, dónde las puedes ver mil veces y mil veces te hará reír.
Tocando un poco en profundidad el personaje de Andrew, vemos a ese chico joven que se aleja de su familia porque quiere cumplir sus sueños, aun teniendo un futuro "asegurado" a lado de ellos, pero el decide forjar su propio camino, lo que lo vuelve muy realista. Cuanto, no dejamos a un lado nuestros ideales por la opinión de familiares y no nos atrevemos como él, a ir a seguirlos. Siento que cuando vas reflexionando cada vez en las personalidades de los personajes, los ves de otra manera, pues Andrew es un chico impulsivo, pero que eso se da por qué quiere demostrarle a su padre lo equivocado que estaba de no seguir sus sueños y Margaret, esa frialdad que demostraba era por su pasado y el miedo de salir lastimada si se involucraba emocionalmente con alguien.
Más allá de ser una película divertida, te hace entrar a fondo muchos detalles que puedes pasar por desapercibido. Un filme que recomiendo para pasar un buen rato.
