PhotoFeed Contest - Portrait Photography Round 95~Strong Women

avatar

Hello Hivers...

In this post I share about a tough woman in our community, the mountain climbing community. Her name is Winni Mawaddah, we usually call her Winni. I took these photos using a Samsung cellphone camera while climbing Mount Keumiki in Geumpang sub-district, Pidie district, Aceh, Indonesia. There are several photos in this post, but only the first photo in this post as my contribution to the PhotoFeed Contest - Portrait Photography Round 95 held by @Photofeed.

Mountain climbing is an activity that is often associated with physical strength, mental toughness and resilience in facing the wilderness. Usually this activity is better known as male dominance, but more and more women are taking the bold step to climb mountains, breaking through their limits, and showing that they are also capable of reaching the highest peaks.

The challenges for female mountain climbers can come from two sides: physical and social. From a physical perspective, mountain climbing requires stamina, endurance, and the ability to face extreme terrain. For many women, these physical challenges are often considered more difficult than for men, due to the differences in physical strength. However, with regular training and thorough preparation, many women are able to conquer these difficult terrains.

Important Note: I wrote in Indonesian, then translated it using Google Translate.
