Hello Hivers...

In the PhotoFeed Contest - Street Photography Round 88, I tried to photograph life at Dayah Jeunib which is located on the Banda Aceh - Medan road. Dayah is a special education for studying religious knowledge. When I took photos at the dayah, it happened that there was a khanduri event for the leader of the dayah who had passed away.


In the midst of dayah life, local culture and traditions are still very much preserved. Traditional ceremonies, religious celebrations, and communal activities are an integral part of the life of the Jeunib Dayah community. Street photography provides an opportunity to experience and capture these important moments, highlighting the richness of the culture that is still alive and thriving in this area.

Street photography in Jeunib Dayah invites us to look beyond everyday life. It presents portraits that reveal the beauty of pristine nature and the lives of people who live in harmony with their surroundings.
