Saludos amigos del concurso!

Feliz inicio de semana, saben quería esperar un poco más pero ya termine mi ilustración para entrar en el concurso de Splinterlands de esta semana y decidí compartirlo de inmediato, para esta semana decidí dibujar una sirena, específicamente Mischievous Mermaid para esta semana quería nuevamente probar con las poses un poco contorsionista y es asi como decidí dibujar una sirena moviéndose con gracia bajo el agua, me gusto mucho arriesgarme con esta pose espero tambien sea de su agrado, sin más les muestro un poco del proceso de esta ilustración.

Happy start of the week, you know I wanted to wait a little longer but I already finished my illustration to enter this week's Splinterlands contest and I decided to share it right away, for this week I decided to draw a mermaid, specifically Mischievous Mermaid for this week I wanted to try again with the poses a little contortionist and that's how I decided to draw a mermaid moving gracefully underwater, I really liked to take a risk with this pose I hope you like it too, without further ado I show you a little bit of the process of this illustration.

Lo primero era realizar el dibujo en la pose descrita den un cuerpo suspendido bajo el agua, con las piernas hacia atrás que luego convertí en la cola de la sirena, seguidamente procedí a colocar los colores base, comenzando con los de color piel a los cuales arise un poco, para dar un poco el efecto de estar bajo el agua y pinte la parte más luminosas con un tono mucho más claro sobre la mayoría del lado derecho de la figura.

The first thing was to make the drawing in the described pose of a body suspended under water, with the legs backwards that I then turned into the mermaid's tail, then I proceeded to place the base colors, starting with the skin colored ones to which I applied a little, to give a little the effect of being under water and painted the brightest part with a much lighter tone on most of the right side of the figure.

A continuación intensifiqué los tonos de la piel, definiendo mejor las zonas luminosas y añadiendo un nuevo tono para las zonas más oscuras y otro más para el color reflejo de la piel, al estar bajo el aguanopte por un tono agrisado de azul.

Luego procedí a colorear la cola y los cabellos, que como se muestran en la carta ambas son de color violeta; en un tono más intenso de rojo, sus ropas y los detalles en el límite entre el torso y el comienzo de su cola.

I then intensified the skin tones, defining better the luminous areas and adding a new tone for the darker areas and another one for the reflection color of the skin, being under the aquanopte by a grayish shade of blue.

I then proceeded to color the tail and hair, which as shown in the chart are both violet; in a more intense shade of red, her clothes and the details at the boundary between the torso and the beginning of her tail.

En este punto comencé a tener conflictos con la dirección en la que debería moverse su cabello y decidí ir probando algunas nuevas direcciones, también comencé a mezclar el tono base que coloque originalmente en la cola usando unos tonos de violenta más azulados y también azules, creando un degradado con varios tonos de azules y violeta.

At this point I started to have conflicts with the direction in which her hair should move and decided to try some new directions, I also started to mix the base tone that I originally placed in the tail using some more bluish violet and also blue tones, creating a gradient with various shades of blue and violet.

Luego que tuve la base degradada que quería comencé a dibujar las escamas, haciendo pequeñas "U" una debajo de otra, luego agrege algunas luces en algunas escamas, en las que considere según su posición podrían reflejar la luz.

After I had the gradient base I wanted I started to draw the scales, making small "U" one under the other, then I added some lights in some scales, where I considered according to their position they could reflect the light.

Luego coloree la cola a la que intente hacerla un poco traslucida y bajo esta el arma al final de su cola como creí que se vería desde la parte posterior de la cola; también coloree sus manos que había estado evadiendo desde que inicie la ilustración, pense que las que había dibujado originalmente estaba muy pequeñas y alejada del cuerpo, así que modifique el dibujo y coloree entonces las nuevas manos.

Pero... entonces pensé en cambiar la dirección de la sirena, y pensé que la pose se podría convertir en un nado para rescatar una joya que se ha caído de un lujosos barco (extrañamente similar a la que se aprecia en Titanic), una vez decidí todos estos detalles dibuje tambien algunas monedas de oro,algas y burbujas alrededor.
Then I colored the tail which I tried to make a bit translucent and under it the weapon at the end of her tail as I thought it would look from the back of the tail; I also colored her hands which I had been avoiding since I started the illustration, I thought the ones I had originally drawn were too small and far away from the body, so I modified the drawing and colored then the new hands.

But... then I thought about changing the direction of the mermaid, and I thought that the pose could become a swim to rescue a jewel that has fallen from a luxurious ship (strangely similar to the one seen in Titanic), once I decided all these details I also drew some gold coins, seaweed and bubbles around it.

Y aunque la biografía de esta carta relata que son unos seres algo malvados, pensé en ella como una sirenita guerrera, que al ver las joyas de la superficie se siente fascinada, especialmente por aquellas que su color se asemeja al de sus ojos, es todo por ahora espero que mi ilustración de esta semana haya sido de su agrado.

And although the biography of this letter relates that they are somewhat evil beings, I thought of her as a little warrior mermaid, who when she sees the jewels on the surface is fascinated, especially by those whose color resembles that of her eyes, is all for now I hope that my illustration this week has been to your liking.
