Saludos queridos amigos!

Espero que haya sido una buena semana, el día de hoy nuevamente vengo a presentar mi entrada al concurso de Arte de Splinterlands de esta semana, para esta edición del concurso he elegido a la carta llamada Spirit Druid Grog me atrajo mucho la historia de este personaje, pero quería modificarlo un poco, en cuanto a la apariencia ye termino gustando mucho más, les mostrare un poco del proceso, espero que les guste.

I hope it has been a good week, today again I come to present my entry to this week's Splinterlands Art Contest, for this edition of the contest I have chosen the card called Spirit Druid Grog I was very attracted to the history of this character, but I wanted to modify it a little, as for the appearance I ended up liking it much more, I will show you a little of the process, I hope you like it.

Me gusta mucho la escencia de este personaje muy unido a la naturaleza, especialmente del pantano y del musgo viviente que allí crece, fue entonces que considere que el fondo debía tener tanta importancia como la figura, fue así que me decidi por la pose sentada del personaje, rodeado de paisaje y vegetación.

Para la figura elegí la de un pequeño niño, al ser el hechicero Druida más poderoso pensé que seria capaz de camuflar su aspecto físico, pero conserve la calavera de venado cubriendo su rostro, sentado sobre el pasto con sus piernas cruzadas, sosteniendo una rama con la cual dibuja un encantamiento sobre la tierra; también quise dibujar algo de fauna acompañante y la criatura que más me agrado fue una pequeña ardilla quien en este caso es quien pide el encantamiento, para proteger el árbol que es su hogar.

I really like the essence of this character very close to nature, especially the swamp and the living moss that grows there, it was then that I considered that the background should have as much importance as the figure, so I decided for the seated pose of the character, surrounded by landscape and vegetation.

For the figure I chose that of a small boy, being the most powerful Druid wizard I thought I would be able to camouflage his physical appearance, but I kept the deer skull covering his face, sitting on the grass with his legs crossed, holding a branch with which he draws an incantation on the ground; I also wanted to draw some accompanying fauna and the creature that I liked the most was a small squirrel who in this case is the one who asks for the incantation, to protect the tree that is his home.

A continuación procedí a colocar los colores base de mi dibujo, mantuve casi todos los colores del dibujo original a excepción del azul, y solo mantuve en tonos sepias su túnica, la capa de musgo era mi cosa favorita de este personaje, me encantó totalmente así que la hice tan esponjosa como la original, pero cubierta de muchos pequeños hongos.

Next I proceeded to place the base colors of my drawing, I kept almost all the colors of the original drawing except for the blue, and I only kept in sepia tones his tunic, the moss cape was my favorite thing about this character, I totally loved it so I made it as fluffy as the original, but covered with many small mushrooms.

Luego comencé a definir la zona luminosas, proveniente desde el lado superior derecho, inicié definiendo los detalles de la calavera con algunos tonos grises y marrón, luego continúe con la túnica para la cual elegí un tono amarillo pálido para la luz y ocres para las sombras.

Para la capa use igualmente un tono de verde muy cargado de amarillo y uno más más azulado en la que cubre el lado izquierdo de Grog, luego usando un pincel con textura de crayones dibuje todos los honguitos.

Then I began to define the luminous area, coming from the upper right side, I started defining the details of the skull with some gray and brown tones, then I continued with the tunic for which I chose a pale yellow tone for the light and ochers for the shadows.

For the cape I also used a very yellow green tone and a more bluish one for the one that covers Grog's left side, then using a brush with a crayon texture I drew all the mushrooms.

Luego procedí a pintar el fondo, en primer lugar como habrán notado habia dibujado una gran catarata al fondo, pero termine descartando dicha idea, no me parecía el fondo ideal, al ser una criatura del pantano era más ideal que estuviese rodeado de árboles, así que dibuje un par en segundo plano con algunos arbustos en su base, luego dibuje un par más entre la penumbra del bosque.

La parte que si estaba bastante clara era el corto césped sobre el cual estaría setado, para este espacio he usado un pincel con textura de cerdas para dibujar las hierva fresca bajo sus pies.

Then I proceeded to paint the background, first as you may have noticed I had drawn a large waterfall in the background, but I ended up discarding that idea, it did not seem to me the ideal background, being a swamp creature it was more ideal to be surrounded by trees, so I drew a couple in the background with some bushes at its base, then I drew a couple more in the shadows of the forest.

The part that was quite clear was the short grass on which he would be sitting, for this space I used a brush with bristle texture to draw the fresh grass under his feet.

Y este ha sido el dibujo para esta semana estoy muy contenta con este resultado, me gustó elegir este personaje y el estilo que pude desarrollar tanto en su aspecto como en la tecnica en la cual me siento más cómoda, tambien espero que haya sido de su agrado, muchas gracias por leer
