Hola a todos needleworkers 😊 feliz lunes, aunque ya paso les dejo un feliz día del trabajador, en Argentina esta fecha fue el 1/5 y es una fecha muy importante en nuestro calendario y también es feriado, así que fue un gran día libre jajaja, me hacen falta semanas laborales de 4 días, pero eso es solo un sueño por ahora, de hecho, en mi trabajo yo soy la suertuda que trabaja solo 5 días, ya que la mitad del equipo trabaja los días sábados también.

Hello to all needleworkers 😊 happy Monday, although I already leave you a happy worker's day, in Argentina this date was 1/5 and it is a very important date in our calendar and it is also a holiday, so it was a great day off hahaha , I need 4-day work weeks, but that is just a dream for now, in fact, at my job I am the lucky one who only works 5 days, since half of the team works on Saturdays as well.

Creo que el concurso de Barbie es el preferido de la comunidad de costura, pero de hecho también se volvió rápidamente mi favorito, el tema de flores es algo que me gusta mucho y últimamente vengo muy metida en el tema de querer dibujarlas y tener algún ramo por ahí (artificial porque las flores me dan alergias :c ). Para esta ocasión mi propuesta es un poco arriesgada creo.

I think that the Barbie contest is the favorite of the sewing community, but in fact it also quickly became my favorite, the theme of flowers is something that I really like and lately I have been very involved in the topic of wanting to draw them and have a bouquet out there (artificial because flowers give me allergies :c ). For this occasion my proposal is a bit risky I think.

Fui a mi bolsa de retazos y busqué algo que me gustara mucho y me encontré con unos trozos de satén verde esmeralda, esta tela es de un pedido de hacer muchos años jajaj pero aún conservo algunos pedazos por ahí, tenía en mente algo que quería hacer hace mucho, pero me daba un poco de pereza y poder hacerlo ahora es un gran plan, además hace mucho no hago vestidos para mi Barbie.

I went to my scrap bag and looked for something that I really liked and I found some pieces of emerald green satin, this fabric is from an order many years ago haha but I still have some pieces lying around, I had something in mind that I wanted to make It's been a long time, but I was a little lazy and being able to do it now is a great plan, plus I haven't made dresses for my Barbie in a long time.

Empecé con la idea que es un vestido de pétalos de flor, para que Barbie parezca una reina de las 💐, tenía en mente dos cosas un vestido simple por debajo y los pétalos cosidos por encima, pero olvide el pequeño detalle de que no se hacer pétalos de flores y tuve que hacer pruebas antes.

I started with the idea that it is a flower petal dress, so that Barbie looks like a queen of the 💐, I had two things in mind: a simple dress underneath and the petals sewn on top, but I forgot the small detail that it can't be done flower petals and I had to do tests before.

El vestido es un molde que ya tengo listo y probado pero olvide el pequeño detalle de que la tela no cede así que tuve que hacer varias modificaciones en el medio jajaja pero en realidad salió todo bien.

The dress is a mold that I already have ready and tested but I forgot the small detail that the fabric does not give so I had to make several modifications in the middle hahaha but in reality everything turned out well.

Para los pétalos terminé cortando un pequeño molde y con un encendedor le di forma a los bordes, después pegue los extremos y así fueron tomando forma, vi muchos tutoriales pero todos eran muy elaborados y mis flores no se iban a poder sostener, así que hice la versión más simple que encontré mezclando técnicas que vi, para mi quedaron muy bien.

For the petals I ended up cutting a small mold and with a lighter I shaped the edges, then I glued the ends and that's how they took shape, I saw many tutorials but they were all very elaborate and my flowers were not going to be able to hold up, so I made The simplest version that I found mixing techniques that I saw, for me they turned out very well.

El vestido tuvo sus complicaciones ya que como la tela no es nada elástica casi le quedaba super pequeño, hubo que agregar tela del frente y de atrás jajajaj, en el frente casi ni se nota, pero de atrás se ven algunas costuras, pero todo se pudo esconder debajo de los pétalos, lo bueno de esto es que tampoco tuve que hacer ruedo ya que los pétalos tapaban eso, simplemente quemé un poco los bordes de la tela.

The dress had its complications because since the fabric is not elastic at all, it was almost super small, we had to add fabric to the front and back hahaha, in the front you can hardly notice it, but from the back you can see some seams, but everything is It was able to hide under the petals, the good thing about this is that I didn't have to roll it up since the petals covered that, I just burned the edges of the fabric a little.

Iba a coser los pétalos, pero esto era un poco complejo así que fui por lo más obvio que era pegarlos con silicona caliente jajaja pero hey resulto el plan, además ya había cosido bastante y no estaba con tanta paciencia como al principio, pegarlos fue muy buena opción.

I was going to sew the petals, but this was a bit complex so I went for the most obvious thing which was to glue them with hot silicone hahaha but hey the plan worked out, plus I had already sewn quite a bit and I wasn't as patient as at the beginning, gluing them was very good option.

Habia hecho solo 12 pero me di cuenta de que necesitaba más así que puse manos a la obra y a hacer más pétalos para todo el vestido.

I had only made 12 but I realized that I needed more so I got to work and made more petals for the entire dress.

También el peinado y el maquillaje son importantes así que toco hacer una renovación al maquillaje anterior que tenía y ahora complementarlo en tonos verdes y brillantes.

Hair and makeup are also important, so I had to renew my previous makeup and now complement it in green and bright tones.

Ahora si estamos listos para concursar :3 me gustan estos desafíos que siempre me llevan a arriesgarme un poco más con las ideas que puedo ir teniendo o animarme a hacer eso que siempre dejo para después, por eso esta es mi comunidad favorita en hive.
