These is a true definition of what true friendship is, true friendship does not only occur when one party is benefiting from the other party,
True friendship is not all about having a continuous discussion with a particular person,
True friendship is not built in a day or months ,
True friendship is not about sharing or exchanging gifts nor laughing and gisting rather
True friendship is between two people who share the same goal, same secret, same mindset and are ready to go to any extent to protect the image of one another,

True friendship occurs between two people who are able to fight and stand with each other even when the world is against them,

True friendship is like a rare and precious gem that can't be toiled with,

True friendship is between two people who knows each other's flaws and still love and protect them,

True friendship is between two people who motivates and pushes each other to achieve success,

True friendship occurs between two people who rejoices over each other's success ,
True friendship is not envious of one another,
True friendship occurs between two people who gives each other a shoulder to lean on when things are bad and difficult,

True friendship occurs between two people who forgives each other's shortcomings and don't use it against them in the future.

True friendship is not to be toiled with especially in these present time when things are bad and inflation is on constant increase, when friend betray friend for money and people are ready to go to any extent to achieve success and fame.

It is true that true friends are scarce but that doesn't mean that true friends doesn't exist,
True friends are everywhere but the problem is "how do we identify them".

For a friendship to last , one needs to properly examine the other party very well for a long period of time but that doesn't mean isolating people.
You can laugh , talk and chat with people but don't expose your secret like incommy mom will always say "say some and leave some".

As an introvert, making Friends has never been easy for me and that's why I value and respect the good friends that comes my way but that doesn't mean that I'll allow a Friend to choose me.

Before accepting someone as a real Friend, I carefully examine the person's character and mode of communication before anything.
If the supposed friend talks more about other people's problem rather than discussing important and motivating issues , for me is a red flag because anyone discussing other people's problem to you will one day discuss your problem to others.

In conclusion,
True friends are scarce and should be valued when found.
It it like a precious gemstones and should bot be toiled with.
