Happy Hive Day! And Newroz pîroz be! 🔥 Nowruz mubarak!

I know it can be hard to raise money, but now it looks like I can't even give it away. Check out my giveaway: March Mass Math – Guess my weight on March 28 and get a chance to win hundreds of HIVE in exponential rewards. At the moment, there are two contenders for three prizes.

NFT Showroom is also doing a big giveaway to celebrate Hive's first birthday.

This is a nice excuse to post my favorite Patti Smith song. When you have mixed feelings about your easy crypto profits, "Free Money" addresses something similar. She builds up tension, releases it, and then brings it to a higher plane. And 43 years later she was still rocking:

The Cub airdrop came and went while I was writing a draft of this post. I think I made a small profit on trading CUB, although I had some left when the bridge to Binance Smart Chain closed on Wednesday. Anyway, I didn't leave Justin Sun's centralized system to go play on CZ's, so that's the end of that story for me.

There's more free money in UBI, a basic income token on Ethereum, using the Proof of Humanity system. It's being launched one piece at a time by Santi Siri, and I haven't checked out how it works in detail. At the moment, the token contract is live and there's a Uniswap pool, and I think you can claim tokens after posting a video that identifies yourself, which needs to be confirmed by existing users. Make sure you use a new ETH address for this, since it will be linked to your identity. One nice trick is that tokens will be distributed for every Ethereum block, at a rate of 1 UBI per hour.

You can also buy or sell the UBI token on Uniswap. I invested a little bit of ETH to provide liquidity in this pool, while I knew I'd lose money on a token with so much inflation. I just wanted to be part of this experiment from the start.

An older basic income project known as Manna or Mannabase announced Manna version 2.0 announced. They had trouble running their own blockchain, and decided to move to "IDChain, a proof-of-authority blockchain developed by BrightID". Sounds like a centralized system. But I agree with their decision to reduce the existing balances from Manna version 1.0. It was inconsistent with its goals that insiders and early adopters held a large share of the coins.

I just entered your contest! Now I'll use this comment to post My favorite Patti Smith song.

I can think of 3 previous versions - Them, Shadows of Knight, and The Doors. But Patti with Lenny Kaye on guitar really made it rock in this version!
