#smap Show me a photo - Melanerpes superciliaris

Hello feathered friends! It has been a long time since I have published anything in this wonderful community, because I had not had the opportunity to dedicate myself to photographing birds and the trip I took to the Las Terrazas Nature Reserve, in the province of Artemisa in Cuba, turned out to be a wonderful excuse to return here. The "West Indies Woodpecker" (Melanerpes superciliaris) has become a very successful species in Cuban forests, and in the city it has adapted spectacularly, to the point that it can be seen and heard anywhere in the city. I took photos of this couple that you will see today in the aforementioned reserve. I just had to get to the place, listen to them and sit comfortably with my camera to wait for the parents to take over, since they alternate in their duties of hunting and taking care of the nest. It was a delight to watch them come and go with all kinds of trophies: seeds, fruits, insects and small frogs. I hope you enjoy these images!

El tiempo es indispensable! Pero ellos se están regando muchísimo por toda Cuba!
