Feathered Friends - Smap Round #182 Hunting for Seeds - by Sunscape
This week I will share a few photos of our American Goldfinch. He is sitting on a Zinnia in the butterfly garden enjoying a snack on the drying seeds.
I have been waiting for the flowers to dry naturally, but if he keeps up at this pace, I will not have many seeds to save for next year's garden.
Seeing the different animals, birds, and insects delighting in the plants I put in the garden always brings me joy.

The bird is very beautiful and the bird looks very happy to be able to enjoy Zinnia flower seeds to its heart's content.
The goldfinch is having really a golden plumage, so striking. Great captures.🙂
The golden finch must have gotten its name from the beautiful yellow colour.
They must really love those seeds.
Lovely photos! Goldfinches are such bright spots in the garden.
