A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED ~ SMaP round 159
Hello, #featheredfriends, I hope you had a better day than this Black-Capped Chickadee.
I know that SMaP is all about photos of birds and that we all try to capture a photo that is worthy of entering this wonderful contest hosted by @nelinoeva. This round is all about a single bird, and that is what I have captured in this post. The pictures here are not of the quality that I usually try to present to the community, rather it's more about a situation that I observed while chilling out on our front porch.
Hours before taking the pictures you'll see in this blog, I noticed a chickadee checking itself out in the side-view mirror of my truck. At first, I thought this situation was somewhat humorous, and just went about my business.
A few hours later, after dinner, @farm-mom and I went back outside to enjoy the warmer weather.
While sitting on the porch I noticed that this little fellow was still at it, landing on the side of the truck and flying into the mirror. The situation lost its humor and I was concerned that the bird's repetitive actions would end badly. Many a bird has flown into the windows of our home and broken their neck.
Fighting itself for territory?
That's funny, I just thought the little guy liked looking at himself.
Who would expect this? Lots of droppings, eh?🙂
I thought that after running into the mirror dozens of times it would get the idea, I guess that's where bird brain originated.
We really know our friends much more when we are in need
That statement holds so much truth!
Thanks for the tip, greatly appreciated!
Well, what can you wish for, birds, due to physiology, cannot “endure and wait”😄
Extreme folly, also present in humans.
That's some funny shit.
Life is beautiful with friends and we find that our friends help us through many difficult times.
True friends!
Simplicity is super! Now you could relax and the bird could get along with real life....
The cardinals do that to anything reflective around here. Hey you I don't like the way you look at me, peck peck fly fly. Silly things don't realize it is just a reflection of themselves and they are competing for territory against themselves.
That seems to be the way things are now, even with people. Hey, what are you looking at? It's best to keep your eyes looking straight ahead or looking at the ground when in public places.
