Did my favorite childhood cartoons influence my current personality? | #LOH230 [ENG/ESP]

Hello everyone, something I still really enjoy is watching cartoons, anime, and series that I even watched in my childhood, as it's like that gluttonous taste, equivalent to watching Korean dramas, classic novels, and the like. Even my first interactions with a series or cartoon as a child were with my uncles; they've also had this taste ever since I've known them. In fact, each of them has what you could call a different style of watching, apart from the fact that they all share it, and it's what brings them together. They instilled in me every Saturday that I went there the knowledge that we were watching something new, something we all watch, and something that little by little I would start to like and define my favorites.

Although they showed series like Power Rangers or similar, my tastes, as a child, were largely defined by anime and cartoons. At home, I could watch cartoons on TV like Courage the Cowardly Dog, The Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd n Eddy, and The Fairly OddParents, and every morning, I'd watch an episode of Shinchan, which I still watch to this day whenever I have time.

And when I went to my grandmother's, I'd watch Inuyasha, Saint Seiya, Hajime no Hippo, Evangelion, Ben 10, Dragon Ball, Naruto, and countless others that were to everyone's liking. Over the years, this taste developed and has only grown. Obviously, when I was a little older, I got to watch series like Floricienta and Isa TKM, which I really liked, and to this day I can remember some of their musical themes.

Now, regarding this topic, our beloved @irenenavarroart asks us in this weekly contest about our favorites and whether they influenced our current personalities in any way. I certainly think they do, since as children, we always adopt gestures, phrases, actions, or something minimal from what we see so often, which will eventually be stored in our minds and become part of who we are, a fragment of our development as individuals.

This also goes hand in hand with our emotions, as we tend to remember things that evoke strong emotions, whether positive or negative. It reminded me of a podcast clip from the voice actor for Frieza in the Dragon Ball series. He recounted his journey to watch and realize how something like a series, and the emotion it conveyed to those who had watched it since childhood, had left memories, lessons, and motivations. He shared several examples of people who had told him their stories, both positive and negative, making even this voice actor aware of the change it brought about and how it influenced the formation of a way of thinking.

Personally, I like these types of interviews because they always make me think about how a character, a series, or even an important moment in our childhood defines, from a small to a large part, who we are and who we will be. Even for those who continue watching, it's something that gives us a new perspective. In my case, it did have a significant influence, as I used to watch stories where the characters had a spark of comedy and at the same time had the strength to be themselves. Others had a distinct temperament and personality that drove them forward. As time went on, it's become part of my personality.

Obviously, there are external factors that will depend on this as well, since that list of favorites came from countless series my uncles used to show me. If they had taught me other genres or styles, the result would have been different, and I would possibly have a different personality with a different approach. So, how we will be depends a lot on several aspects.

And well, this was my small contribution to this week's topic.

Hola a todos, algo que hasta la fecha disfruto mucho es ver caricaturas, animes y series que incluso veía en mi infancia, ya que es como ese gusto gulposo, siendo como un equivalente a quienes ven dramas coreanos, novelas clásicas y demás. Incluso de mis primeras interacciones con alguna serie o caricatura de niña fue por parte de mis tíos; ellos, desde que los conozco, han tenido también este gusto. Es más, cada uno de estos tiene lo que se podría decir como un estilo diferente de ver, aparte de que todos comparten, y es el que los lleva a pasar ratos y así mismo me fueron inculcando cada sábado que iba allá el saber que veíamos algo nuevo, algo que todos vemos y algo que poco a poco me iría gustando y definiría mis favoritos.

A pesar de que ponían series como los Power Rangers o de este estilo, mis gustos, siendo una niña, se marcaron bastante entre el anime y la caricatura. En mi casa podía ver en la televisión caricaturas como Coraje, el perro cobarde, Las chicas superpoderosas, Ed, Edd y Eddy, Los padrinos mágicos y, cada día en la mañana, veía algún capítulo de Shinchan, el cual hasta la fecha sigo viendo cada que tengo rato.

Y cuando iba a donde mi abuela, veía Inuyasha, Caballeros del zodiaco, Hajime no hippo, Evangelion, Ben 10, Dragon Ball, Naruto y un sinfín más que eran de gusto de cada uno y así con los años se fue creando este gusto que ha avanzado y más. Obviamente, que un poquito más grande llegue a ver series como Floricienta e Isa TKM que me gustaron bastante y hasta la fecha recuerdo algún tema musical de estos.

Ahora bien, en relación con este tema, la querida @irenenavarroart nos pregunta en este concurso semanal sobre cuáles eran nuestras favoritas y si estas influyeron de alguna manera en la personalidad que poseemos actualmente, cosa que, ciertamente a mi parecer, es un sí, ya que al ser niños siempre vamos a adoptar gestos, frases, alguna acción o algo mínimo de aquello que tanto vemos, cosa que a la larga se va a almacenar en nuestra mente y formará parte de quienes somos como un fragmento de nuestra formación como individuos.

Esto también va de la mano con nuestras emociones, ya que tendemos a recordar aquello que cause emociones fuertes, ya sean positivas o negativas, y justamente me recordó un fragmento de un podcast que le hacían al actor de doblaje de Freezer de la serie Dragon Ball, donde contaba su recorrido para ver y darse cuenta de cómo algo como lo era una serie y la emoción que transmitía a quienes la veían desde niño, habían dejado recuerdos, enseñanzas y motivaciones, contando varios ejemplos de personas que le habían contado sus historias, tanto positivas como negativas, haciendo que incluso este actor de doblaje estuviera consciente del cambio que generó y cómo influyó en la formación de una forma de pensar.

A mí en lo personal me gustan este tipo de entrevistas porque siempre me dejan pensando en cómo un personaje, una serie o incluso un punto importante en nuestra infancia define desde poco hasta una gran parte de cómo somos y seremos, porque incluso para los que siguen viendo es algo que va dando un nuevo enfoque y, en mi caso, sí influyó bastante, ya que solía ver historias donde los personajes tenían una chispa de comedia y a la vez tenían una fuerza para ser ellos mismos, así como otros tenían un temperamento y una personalidad marcada que los hacía avanzar y, conforme pasó el tiempo, se ha convertido en parte de mi forma de ser.

Obviamente, hay factores externos que dependerán también, ya que esa lista de favoritos surgió de todo un sinfín de series que me ponían mis tíos y, si ellos me hubieran enseñado otros géneros o estilos, fuera el resultado distinto y tendría posiblemente otra personalidad con otro enfoque, por lo que depende mucho de varios aspectos el cómo seremos.

Y bueno, este fue mi pequeño aporte al tema propuesto para esta semana.
