Hi, Ladies of Hive!

I am glad you asked this question: What was the last photo you took? Share it with us and tell the story behind it!

Now, I have a reason to share what kept me busy for the past two nights and what were the last photos I took on my mobile phone.

I am sharing with you a sneak peek of my Polaroid travel painting project.

My husband and I are busy preparing for our children's baptismal celebration.

Here I am, creating personalized souvenirs for our guests, friends, and family who are invited to celebrate with us.

The Polaroid travel painting project consists of 10 different paintings of Philippine tourist spots.

These are:

  1. Lake Danao in Ormoc, Leyte
  2. Malapascua Island in Daanbantayan, Cebu
  3. Cloud 9, Siargao Island in General Luna, Surigao del Norte
  4. Kalanggaman Island in Palompon, Leyte
  5. Parasailing Boracay Island in Malay, Aklan
  6. Taal Volcano, in Talisay, Batangas
  7. Chocolate Hills in Carmen, Bohol
  8. Guisi Lighthouse in Nueva Valencia, Guimaras
  9. Sunset Boracay in Malay, Aklan
  10. Long Beach in San Vicente, Palawan

I made two paintings of Boracay Island and two paintings from Leyte and the rest of the paintings are from different provinces of the Philippines.

Since this is just a sneak peek, I could not post the individual photos as this is a surprise for our guests.

Fun fact: all photo references were personally taken by me during my travels around the Philippines.

So yes, I've been to the 8 provinces mentioned above.

You can also see my photos of me painting the Polaroid travel project with my daughter.

Just as you can see I started my art project.

My husband liked this idea and it is me who suggested giving this as a souvenir.

I really enjoyed doing this as this is also my excuse to have my me-time and to be stress-free.

Anyway, there are so many things to do as I need to compile our travel photos when we started as a couple.

I really wanted to paint our travels when we went to:

  • Phuket, Thailand
  • Bali, Indonesia
  • Singapore
  • Palawan, Philippines
  • South of Spain
  • and here in France

but I realized that I needed to paint all the places that I'd been to before I met my husband.

Because these places are close to my heart.

Since our guests are all Europeans, a handpainted souvenir that shows my origin, the Philippines, will be a great reminder to them that the mother of the kids is Filipino and the kids are half-Filipino and half-French.

And I hope they will appreciate this souvenir that is personalized with the unique touch of a Filipino.

This is such a wonderful, creative idea, to make original, souvenir paintings for the guests! This is much better than any store-bought gift! Bravo! 😃

That is really amazing gifts and if I was a guest I would love the surprises 😉 you have a big heart and so creative to come up with all of that. And handmade art and crafts is more precious than expensive gifts with no heart. Love it.

Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful weekend. Cheers 🌺
