Skydiving, Treasure hunting, Deep Sea exploration, Space Travel, Excavating archeological of ruins, or any adventure. I recently mentioned about my adventure in paranormal investigation as an exercise in overcoming fear of the unknown. What would you challenge yourself to do as an adventure to remember?

Now that you mention it here, I've always fantasized about participating in a treasure hunt, but something real, I don't mean games, although my motivation has come from old movies and documentaries but it would be interesting to participate in something that makes you use all your senses and manage to discover something unique, of course showing due respect, without exceeding the limits because I don't like it when human ambition damages everything in its path. By the way, my partner's mother is an archaeologist and I have already seen her work up close and I have been with her, she has taught me some things to identify, you can't imagine how excited I was and the movie I was creating in my head.

On the other hand, I would like to go skydiving, I've already been paragliding but it's not the same, and I'll tell you my secret I'm afraid of heights, hahaha, I didn't think I was that kind of person, I mean, I had never thought about the fact that I'm afraid of heights, I even say yes to any activity but I noticed how my body reacts when I'm in high places and it's kind of crazy because before I found out, I had never considered that I was afraid of heights. My body's reaction is that my hands start to sweat and suddenly I feel like the air is heavy, breathing starts to become difficult, I remember standing on the edge of a very tall building, looking down, analyzing how I feel and thinking to myself "I think I'm afraid of heights, how strange I didn't know that, I wouldn't have imagined it" and in my mind I've always been an adventurer so it really was a shock to me to see how my own body reacted, as if my mind and my body were two separate things. My mind on one hand saying hey, calm down and my body NO. But I still do the activities because they are things that I want and the best feeling in the world is when everything works out and my body relaxes in gratitude.

I fell so often in my dreams that I got used to it. Maybe that is why I dare to climb up to my roof to fix a hole or cleaning out the gutters doesn’t faze me. Or maybe I am too cheap to hire someone to do what seems to be a simple task but put me upon a much higher building top I may feel just as anxious. Whatever the challenge great or small, as long as we can remove that mental barrier that keeps us back we can move forward in our adventure of life.
Thanks for sharing @josehany

I'm totally agree. I also identify with the fact that I do my own repairs, I also get on the roof and fix whatever needs to be fixed, I always investigate and learn new things, it feels good to achieve things.

My son used to jump out of perfectly good airplanes......then he got married!

Anyway, he was jumping quite a bit-he was close to having logged enough hours to be a trainer. On one of his first solo jumps, he put a camera on his helmet and gave me a copy of the video. I watched it once and that was enough for me to say there is no way you can convince me to jump out of a good airplane!

I hope you get the chance to do it though. By the way, my husband is afraid of heights and he is a licensed pilot! You are not alone with that but also being brave enough to try some of the very things that would make your palms sweat!

Take care and enjoy!

Thank you, those are for sure brave stories!!! It feels motivating

Hi @josehany !
No matter how big or minor the obstacle, if we can get rid of the mental block that is preventing us, we may continue on our journey through life. So... adventure on!!!

Indeed. The mind is a very important factor to archive our goals or to experience.
