#215 Do you have a Christmas memory that feels magical even now?
Every Christmas, my grandma had a way of making the season feel special, almost magical. She had this beautiful tradition of waking us up in the middle of the night, around midnight or a little later, with snacks in hand. It didn’t matter how tired we were or what was going on in the world—she never forgot the snacks. It was her way of celebrating, her quiet gesture of love that brought us all together.
There was something so heartwarming about those nights. The house would be quiet, the air crisp with the scent of pine from the Christmas tree, and then her gentle voice would call us awake. We’d sit together, munching on the treats she had prepared, laughing and sharing stories. It wasn’t extravagant, but it was perfect. It was her way of making sure we felt loved, seen, and part of something bigger than ourselves.
Now that she’s gone, I hold those memories close to my heart. I miss her more than words can express, especially during the holidays, knowing that I’ll never get to relive those moments. But her tradition taught me something beautiful—that love is in the small things. It’s in the effort, the care, and the joy we bring to those we cherish. That’s a lesson I’ll carry with me always.
Happy Holidays everyone ❤️
May Grandma continue to rest in peace.
